Looking for a fun way to level (OP class spec and/or enchantments).

Hello all,

I was told on r/wow to post this here.

I'm someone who levels character till they reach level 50-60 and then startover a new character. I like to test out enchantments and talents in the low level segment that are very OP. So far I have found out:

  • Hunter Survival - Is the best DPS spec so far. At level 30 you will be the best AoE DPS (even compared to arcane Mage) and second best single target. AoE DPS = 500 at level 36
  • Paladin Retri - is also very OP (even with no AoE) in combination with Crusader enchantment. Single-target DPS = 250 at level 28
So far I also noticed that Elemental Force is the best enchantment for every non-strength class. If it's a strength class, then I prefer Crusader. Also this spreadsheet is very useful when enchanting heirlooms: Enchantments for heirlooms - Spreadsheet

Also Alchemist's Flask is very useful when leveling. But it's quiet expensive to level alchemy.

Is there anything I could try doing? I really like the twinking aspect here. It's like "min-maxing".

Edit: I have to add that I will almost only run dungeons.

Are you looking to make a twink? Or just for ways to improve on leveling multiple characters?

If its min/maxing and achieving the best possible DPS, you should consider locking your XP at a desired level, as this would allow you to get all of the optimized gear for your class/spec before out leveling it.

if you wanna have a fun experience lvling... go for fury warrior with double Crusader.. fully enchanted... or maybe guardian druid tank.. and make engi bombs.. and F.R.I.E.D. its important to have hundreds of those when lvling.. and ehmm buffz yeah.. buffs... enjoy

I had fun healing with resto druid because I could also be 1st or 2nd in damage as long as the tank wasn't made of wet kleenex.

You should find one of the threads here on enchant scaling changes coming in the next patch, might alter your findings.
I heard that elemental force gets nerfed

Yes, i want to find out which class spec will do the most DPS. I already thought about locking XP but I'm not sure a which level. I like everything below 60 because it has the most imbalance (correct me if I'm wrong).

I would put 110 at the most "imbalance" in terms of broken OP damage/survival for current level, soloing both mythic legion and normal BfA dungeon content. 1-60 doesn't come close to how easy it is to breeze thru "proper" level content.

I'm still lost if we're just talking dungeons here or what... but you cant do the same lower afik. Not remotely.

edit- and lots of changes to lowest level enchants. Ele force is still very good, just not so broken as before.

Back in the day, I used to level alts solely through PvP - lol.
I would try maxing them out in gear and chants in every bracket. Had a heap of fun :)
I’d agree with @Gmac in that u could try and lock XP for a bit, run some dungeons and deck urself our in good gear, chant up then crack some serious skulls in them dungeons.
Then unlock, level a few more levels, lock XP - rinse and repeat.
It’ll give u a good feel for the classes at the various levels. ;)
