(19s) 8.1.5 Enchants & Item Changes

But by the time they get those items, the rest of their gear will already be last bracket, and lets face it... 1 more int isn't doing anything for a leveler. They'll get far more dungeon rewards than blue quest items, yet only quests are buffed.

Sounds accidental, I doubt they intend to buff anything.
I think this is probably pretty accurate. I doubt they're worried about nerfing/buffing low level gear drops so much as just trying to standardize ilvls on drops. It's a bit weird that, say, quest and boss blues are one ilvl while BG crates are another. I wouldnt be shocked to see boss drops start pushing up a couple ilvls in another patch or two.

Hey everyone resently got into twinking in the 19s. This is my first Nerf. I'm gearing out a warrior. Are enchants that I already have like chest stats be reduced after it comes out?

This will be a small list, as there are not that many changes in this bracket.

I will update with the new Allied Races racials once their tooltips are displaying correctly.

Enchants

Most proc based enchants have been reduced. The values of these are not exact, as most of them scale with Versatility and will be slightly different for each person. The amount of damage done is also in a PvE environment. This does not take into the account the damage reduction against players due to Versatility.

These values are based on my Shaman's 18% vers rate.

Gear

The only changes to gear appears to be from blue quest rewards. Currently, blue items from quests reward the item scaled to ilvl 23. This is going up to ilvl 25 in 8.1.5.

Drops from bosses appear to be unchanged according to the Adventure Guide.

If you are planning on obtaining any blue quest items, wait until the new patch, as old versions do not scale up.

Mind Testing Fiery Weapon as a replacement for elemental force? wondering if it is the same 40dmg proc. This is otherwise very helpful thank you.

I'm not too much of a fan of the nerfs to the agility enchants and stuff as I play my rogue mostly, but tbh, I was just thinking the other day about how boring it is that elemental force is the only viable enchant because it's just so much better than everything else. I think with access to some new quest blues and the possibility of other weapon enchants being useful, this patch may actually be fun for the bracket. Don't forget that some classes like resto shams are only OP 1v1 because of elem force procs. If elem force gets nerfed enough at least they won't be able to kill you as a healer spec. They'll just live forever until someone else comes to help either side.

Fiery Weapon proc rate not even close to elemental force.
Elemental force will remain among top tiers aslong as proc rate is not nerfed or it starts to do 5dmg.

Avalanche would come in second but nah.

all hail the table
i am a noob. I have those on my 19 rogue and forgot to use them in bgs. my question is how to use them. I haven’t had time to play much and have seen others using the tables. what do they do damg wise?

It's just going to take twice as long for them to kill you now.... and you wont be able to kill them. Doesn't sound like fun.

How many classes even have an interrupt at 19? Rogue aaaand… shaman?

You overestimate your compatriots.

And he was talking 1v1. If you lack both interrupt and CC I guess you better just level out then?

You guys think the elemental force reduction is going to make landslide more viable? I've been using a mainhand Cudgel of Naralex with landslide on my 29 WW monk and a hillborne in OH with ele force. The landslide on cudgel seems to work really well. Pretty much fists of fury one shots when I have landslide up.

how is the proc rate?Often? ive been thinking about using it on MH!

Will I still be running elemental force on my boomkin or can i use a real enchant

could landslide be viable or is it just gonna be to low of a proc rate even after nerf?

Only 6 PPM compared to Ele Force 10 RPPM. And it hits for fucking 14 now lmfaooooo

Well. Lifestealing is already proccing way more than Elem force on live. New BiS weap enchant for rogues I guess.

Can someone on the ptr confirm that they did not nerf proc rate or damage / healing of lifestealing?

Lifestealing is also 6 PPM (same proc rate as Fiery Weapon).

Keep in mind lifesteal is 6ppm opposed to 10rppm. That means the number of non white dmg attacks you can do directly effects how many actual procs you get with it. It is entirely viable to get more procs out of lifestealing than ele force depending on the amount of yellow attacks you have.
