Very nice thread. This could potentially increase the flow of twinks to later brackets such as 49,59 etc. For those people who want to feel OP and don't feel enough OP at 19 etc. after these changes. We'll see.

I left it in my comment, but sweet that you found it. Gonan be interresting and see if it'll turn out as you say with more people joining 59.
 
59s are the best brackets atm. spent last few months fucking around in 19-69s to find what I liked and I landed on 59 fire mage. love the community on both sides. My work in progress is Pompom orc mage

And the old one doesn't scale up Jwl, just copied one over to check.

edit- oh, I see... did the new ones get dumped to 57 ilvl? well that's good then, for new players.... I guess. :p

And at 49 the grandfathered one will still be better than the new version, Jwl. 22 vs 21. Yay old guys. Finally.

no i am factoring that the 22int version isn't obtainable anymore since last spring. The live version gives 21 int when obtained at lvl 59. Which is the same as the noise machine. The noise machine just got a small shield on top of that, so it isn't better now no. But it will be next week.

I already answered jwl's question though.

hovering over the ptr version it looks like it will do about the same damage as wraith scytche/fist of the damned with similar stats and dmg and everything, with the only difference that it only does dmg instead of both healing and doing dmg. So I don't think a lot of people bothered to get it.
 
They are very close at 59 on live, incendiary did 1183 and frost did 1052 with 5.6 vers... not that similar at low levels. At 23 (or 4) incendiary hit for 451 and frost for 401 with 3.5% vers. Seems weird, so i'll double check, but not scaling down the same.

I can check the PTR in a bit, but i'd wager the outcome to be similar. I'll let you know.

edit- at 59 on the PTR incendiary hit for 864 and frost hit for 767. Same toon as above.
at 24 on the PTR incendiary hit for 304 and frost hit for 272, again same toon as above.

I should note that a +13 scope scales down to +4 at 24 and added about 20% damage to aimed and arcane shots. So for that level 24, it was +60 damage every single non-crit aimed shot and around +20 to every arcane. Reliable increase.

Fishing for procs is sometimes not worth it, IMO. Especially when they are going down...

So +damage scopes seem untouched so far.

edited again, scope was the +13 https://www.wowhead.com/item=44739/diamond-cut-refractor-scope, it's "+10" to all my 59 making it. Sorry.

https://www.wowhead.com/spell=30332/khorium-scope says it's also +4 at 24, but it hits for a little less than https://www.wowhead.com/item=44739/diamond-cut-refractor-scope which shows the same. Less at 59 too, even tho it says +11 compared to the diamond that says +10 on the weapon itself when applied.
