ok i explain map for u and any other idiots (americans) real quick
obviously nobody is learning their countries first language on a language app, you do that in school.
so this is basically showing most popular second language
its pretty much just showing trading languages, USA learning Spanish for trade with South America and vice versa etc etc
African nations mainly learning the language of who colonised them (unless taught from birth) for trade, Namibia learning German etc etc
Asia learning for trade, Europe learning for trade etc etc
you get the picture
the anomaly here being that Sweden is learning Swedish on a site used to learn second languages, meaning the Arab population (that don't refuse to learn Swedish, don't kid yourself there's a significant portion there too) outweighs the rest of the Swedish population that are looking to learn a second language.
it's hilarious.

The other explanation could be that Swedish folks are more varied in their selection of a third language, thus making Swedish the "most popular" while it could still be a small minority of the population thats learning it.

that might have some validity if Sweden was the only country in the world to have mandatory language classes in school, it isn't.
a vast majority of European countries have mandatory English language lessons, with Spain and France having the lowest percentage of English speakers in the whole of Europe.
the reason they have the lowest is simply due to the amount of French and Spanish speakers around the globe, which is reinforced by the map.
there's a reason for the anomaly on the map, and it's quite evident what it is based purely on common sense alone, you can look up more research into it if you wish but it's plain and simple.
swedens immigration population has risen to levels that outweigh their natives number of learning another language.
it isn't suggesting there's more immigrants than natives, because the number learning a 3rd language won't be substantial, but the data shows the immigrant population is substantial enough to be the only immigrant population in the world where this happens.
stop trying to find an alternative, there isn't one or else it'd be seen in at least one other country on the map.

you came to me with the problem and negative attitude, i put up a thread showing something i found interesting.
just to put the whole 'it could be something else' argument to rest, here's what the people who collected the data had to say about it
if you're asking my personal opinion on it, which i assume you indirectly just did, i have no problem with immigration as a whole, but the numbers of immigrants and rising immigration in general happening in Europe isn't sustainable, the sooner the 'all-loving all-welcoming' left wing (liberal) idiots realise that the better, i also disagree with allowing immigrants access to free healthcare services (they haven't paid into them or contributed via taxes) so they should be billed out of their pockets until a requirement has been met, no government handouts, no free schooling, a lot of European countries need better vetting.
on face value it sounds inhumane and almost shocking doesn't it? then think about how unsustainable it'd be to allow that to uncapped migrants who haven't paid into those systems at all, until the systems collapse and nobody is able to have those services.
i understand people may need to seek refuge, but when you're fleeing from your country and pass 20-30 countries until you get to your destination, is it really refuge you're seeking or is it something else?

Sounds like you attribute the sustainability issues to revenue problems. Do you feel as though the resources really dont exist? Or is it that there are resources that could be better distributed?
Not really dude. I live in Texas. Nothing you've said is shocking in the least. Though if you're going for edgy, theres some dudes down here who could give you some talking points.
Typically, a country with actual asylum allowances and a history/culture of acceptance. Also an established expat community doesnt hurt. If you're a muslim fleeing Syria, for instance, Sweden is one of the closest countries that will actually take you. And there's a solid population of muslims in sweden. It's an attractive place to seek refuge.
