EU+US 2 handed Enhance shaman

So I'm making a 60 shaman for fun and I'm only gonna be using a 2 handed weapon. So my question is should I stack the 6 haste gems all my gear or the 5 agility/5 crit. I'll be using nagerling, the haste/proc trinket from lower brd. And hand of rag

Random but thoughts?

While I love haste builds, the stat squish killed them at the lower brackets. Pre BFA, haste builds were very viable thanks to MainStat/Haste gems, but right now 5/5 agi/crit gems are too powerful to ignore. You could try 3/3 gems to try to accomplish your haste build without sacrificing too much Agility, but you will probably sit at around +15% haste (assuming your gear is mostly haste too) which is hardly game changing. You could also get a meta socket in the form of Thundering Skyflare Diamond which has a very strong Haste proc (something like 40% haste), but it only lasts around 6 seconds and has an internal cooldown of at least 45 seconds.
Also, weapon enchants would be more effective on a dual wield build, there is gale force (15% increase ATK speed) which can stack or you could also try gale+quick navigation (it grants around 8% haste when it reaches 5 stacks and has no ICD)

In any case, I hope you have fun with your build, your best bet without sacrificing overall power is play around with meta+enchants.

I believe you’ll be at a severe disadvantage due to most ability’s requiring 1 handed?

Ahem.
AHHEMMM.

Stat wise though, we would be using very similar gear, and my current setup is with haste in mind with 5/5 gems.

Gameplay is really smooth, and the game is much more enjoyable, though a full agility build should be better damage .

Edited cause I realised I didn't say anything.

I know I'll be at a disadvantage a huge disadvantage just messing around and going to have some fun with it xD.

Haste in mind at 5/5 ? They do not have 5/5 haste gems, flat 6 haste or 3/3 is the best you have for haste, and that is an insane stat loss for an underperforming test

You think elemental force would not be better or better then those enchants. Just bc it procs so much now
[doublepost=1543070541,1543070462][/doublepost]I'll post my guys armory when I finish him here in a week hopefully also

Instead of typing a paragraph as to why this will ultimately be underwhelming and unfulfilling, I say knock yourself out and I suggest dropping Hand of Rag and using Nightfall for the proc that increases magical damage taken by 15%

I tried to do 2h enhance this expansion and it just doesn't work. All of your damage basically comes from stormstrike, and since you can't use it you basically do no damage at all. I wish you luck in having fun, but I wouldn't invest too much in trying to get it to work.

Dude did you even look? 60s are aware what 5/5s we are talking about without having to spell it out. Notice how I didn't say 5/4s? Or 3/3s? Would have been well obvious if you checked the armoury link.

Point was to show that you can use the best gems and still build a hefty amount of haste without sacrificing viability.

You don’t have to get antsy, look at the way you worded it. Apoligys if I misunderstood

Hey Lamma!
If you want to stack Haste, questing scaled gear would be better than trying gems (at least on 69s).
But If you go for hardcore Windfury proc, I would stack Agi+Crit.
I wish you luck with this thing. I was thinking about the same thing, but i dont think it would be working. Windfury has 25% proc chance and does 18% of attack power for the price of Stormstrike and Lava Lash.
Good luck and keep us informed :D

Hey Lamma,
I just recently recovered my old account from back in the early cata days (iirc) specifically because I have a 60 shaman "twink" with hand of rag that I was itching to try out again. I hate to be discouraging, and am by no means telling you -not- to try it, but I was getting beat by players in standard boa's just in the bg for the xp. The lack of 2h enhance (which is a crime) makes me feel majorly gimped when trying to play that way.

For whatever it's worth, my character had also been logged out for so many years that with all the changes his gear was devoid of any gems or enchants - something I band-aided with cheap filler.
You can check him out (Ankerstjerne-Mal'Ganis), but bear in mind he is far from the current bis.
