Quick Guide for 119 Twinking

Hello!

In this thread, I'm going to do a quick write-up on how to make a 119 twink, how to level optimally, pros and cons of the bracket. English isn't my mother tongue, so proceed with caution.
A couple of words in advance - 119 twink is the best option for instanced PvP, but scales poorly with secondary stats. If you want to do PvE, 110/111 becomes a better option due to better scaling.

Pros
+The queue time (for EU, at least) is very fast, since it's the current expac's leveling bracket. Don't expect to stay in queue for longer than 6-7 minutes.
+The setup doesn't require any gold investment outside of enchants.
+You can stomp a BG even without a BiS setup.

Arguable moments
I believe that this bracket had a sudden surge of activity when Anniversary started, it's almost as if people became aware of what's going on. EU players have a good chance of having a twink on their side even now in a BG, however I'm yet to see a RU twink, which makes battles interesting and difficult from my PoV (RU alliance). Group queue is the way to go, it seems.
What I want to say is - having twinks on enemy group is fun. It's not like some fringe brackets where only single amounts of people were intact and you can capitalize on the monopoly (shoutout to Kgam who queued 79 BGs in Cata times on RU realms)

Cons
-Best-in-slot gearing - as well as pre-bis - is tied to an amusingly small timeframe, which is 10 days after this post is written for BiS (Anniversary) and specific weeks for pre-bis (Timewalking dungeons). Anniversary provides 333 or 343 item level gear, which is overpowered. I expect this to be hotfixed.
-Specific leveling route.

Leveling route
There are two general directions in which you may go.
If Anniversary is up, I suggest you go whatever path you see as viable for fastest leveling (expeditions maybe even?), and rush to 119 ASAP. The gear from the event is BiS by a long margin, and will be GF'd soon.
If it's not up, I suggest you don't do ANY quests on KT/Zandalar until you hit 119.
110-116 - BGs/expeditions
117-118 - BGs/expeditions/random BFA dungeons (starting from 117, you can get a 295 Azerite piece from the last boss)
119 - quests/random BFA dungeons (assuming you don't have BiS Azerite items yet)/TW/Anniversary/rares on KT or Zuldazar(Azerite items)

Why so? Well, the reason is to get your hands on some start gear before farming TW, which might not even be up when you've dinged. The itemlevel of quest items at 119 is generally 280+, going above 300 in case of lucky procs. BFA dungeons are not worth doing at this point - the item level of the gear is 273, which is lacklustre.

An example of a character who did all quests on 119:
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/archimonde/Focüsme
This provided the player with 2x 298 weapons and some decent greens which are better than 273 blues.

From then on, you should stick to farming TW dungeons for 310 gear, TW raids when they're up for a chance of 315 gear. Even with that setup, it will be enough to wreck havoc.

Thanks for reading the guide, I hope you're going to make a 119 twink as well.

Timewalking gear can warforge to 310, and nothing leveling can touch that even with procs... so it's not that important.

TW events are up every couple weeks so it's not so imperative to skip leveling quest rewards to get 300+ ilvl.

The problem with TW events is that they occur somewhat less often than every couple weeks - realistically, once a month, if you check the in-game calendar for the last few months. The questing gear is suggested to minimize the drawback of dinging outside of TW window. Whether it's imperative or not - you decide. For me, it was.

WoTLK is in two weeks

edit- theres none on the calendar after that... hopefully they accepted they cant code for shit and they'll never get the trash to be trash and not bosses... and gave up.

Might add that if you hold onto the quest for the dungeon in each zone you can get a quick queue for those dungeons (normally 4-5min for me).
