Without cross realm BGs it seems like the advantages of all being on one server will outway the disadvantages, despite the nightmare that will be the Gurubashi arena.

Of course different brackets may chose different servers, tho it would be advantageous to be on one server so that we can band together for raiding since we will all be needing nax enchants and the like, being on seperate servers for each bracket on the other hand will make it a lot easier to get an AGM since you would only be competing against the single bracket and the raiders who want it rather than every twink.

I am curious what the split will be between people who want to play on pvp server and those that want a PVE server, since old school twinks without expoff will be at risk of leveling up if we go out into the world for PVP one of the best parts of a PVP server are denied to us.

Please vote for your server type choice and then vote to stick together or go our own ways

I always play my main on PvP servers and of course my twinks will be there too. It's too early for sticking&spreading talks now in my opinion.

Food for thought and something I had forgotten, in classic you could only play one faction per account on a pvp server.

For me that's not really relevant, if i get back into it I will simply have two or more accounts again and play on a PVP server having a few Alliance twinks to play on if the BGs are getting to be horde dominant. However I think that might be a factor for a lot of people to favor PVE servers.

Cross realm BG's might be a thing because they were implemented in patch 1.12 during Vanilla

it was not made total CR as today, battlegroups is what they implemented, because at start, BGs were only for players on your server. in my case i was on a PVP server that had a serious imbalance in players and levels, and on the side that was not progressing like the other faction, due to imbalance in world, which affected leveling, get ganked going to dungeons, ganked at dungeon, constant 3-5 vs 10-15+. sorta like the experience like warmode today, but worse with no option to turn off. but prior to battlegroups on my server word got out to stop going into BGs, the other faction was going thru 45 min++ ques for WSG, and when a BG popped it was bad, like 3-5 vs 10.

also on the battlegroup my server fell onto, even though i was on a PVP server, we had PVE server on it and their twinks, ironiclly again it was the opposite faction. due to their mains not having to go thru the PVP imbal server issues or ganking hindrances, the PVE server twinks had us out geared, out enchanted, and later all loaded with fishing hats, fishing boots etc. way quicker than us on PVP servers

also battlegroups, had different focuses on brackets, one could be heavy 19 and 39, another heavy 29, with near no 39 and some 19.

faction with fastest progression, generally had the best enchants, librams, etc. also had some twink dungeons on BOE farm. imo, you want to be on a server PVP/PVE with most players focused end game, not on a server that had XX% loaded with players that will be 19, 29, 39 twinks. with no CRZ and no sharding, a ton of twinks on one server, bad move considering blizz may population cap each server

if you even plain to do a 49 or 59 twink, you will need to be on a insane end game focused player based server. it will take four insane geared 60's to carry you thru many hard quests and dungeons. btw 29 and 39s for some items you will need 1-3 decent geared level-60's. the 59 twinks in van wow, predom rolled from PVE servers

i dont think there will be more than ~100 twink oriented players at one server and this number makes no difference in terms of population

I'm hoping too play on a twink heavy server but my main will be pve, my wife doesn't do pvp servers and were both coming back to wow for classic. I had alot of fun in your 29 guild so I'm curious as too wear you end up if you come back

Should pick a strong pvp server no reason not to.More items more help more pop and your main wont be locked ina trash server wpvp will exist a lot too, thatll mean more competition for agm etc but its a small price to pay.it wouldnt be wise to lock ourselves away...

Mannoroth is the only realm that should be listed in your poll.

I don't think anyone will attempt to Jump directly into any bracket on launch except for maybe 19s. If there is any release of server launch information I think that the community should select a server to play on. Having your main 60 on the server with your twink is quite nice. I honestly feel that RP-PVP is going to be the best decision due to the more casual mindset of those people and the interest in leveling bgs. Cannon fodder to get games popping. RP-PVP servers always have a healthy/large community and people are more into alts. PVE is without a doubt the worst option and it draws the worst types of players.

Anyone wanna wager Blizz will crz and shard?

If they do it will be the worst business decision of the decade for them. Worse than Legos, BFA, or WOD. They will completely lose any loyalty left in customers they have. I don't see it happening but I will just quit gaming besides stuff like the upcoming RE3 remake. Nothing worth a shit right now on the shelves. I am still waiting to see Pantheon though.

Maybe i missed this but I will follow this thread for later, Are you US or EU? we will ofc need servers decided on both :p

According to this link:

https://www.esportswizard.com/news/esports/wow-classic-introduces-content-release-schedule/

They are adding battlegrounds in the second phase, when Dire Maul is dropped.

Since the original vanilla pvp reward system was so hopelessly grind-oriented, I would not be surprised if they change something drastically. We also have to remember that pvp has always been the unwanted stepchild and instead Blizz will be undoubtedly focusing on getting dungeon and raid content ready.

I vote for one server for all brackets so that farmed items can be shared across toons. It appears there is a real rift between those who wish to be on a pvp server and those who do not. I prefer pve so that I can play both factions, otherwise more accounts are needed (I typically maintain two accounts when active). I imagine we'll see some kind of stray twinking on all servers.

Who's up for getting AGM on a low pop server then doing a server transfer? LOL

Speaking to those who voted for PvP here.

Since we don't know the names of the realms yet...
How about everyone picks the first pvp server sorted by alphabetical order?
