Critique my 80

Props for helmet enchant, good looking twink. Seeing how bonus sets are useless now, you need to go for as much socket gear as possible. Your weapons were nerfed after a stat squish, so I'd recommend weapons with sockets and proc. And basically any other Cata and MoP blue. Also I believe the ring from quest in Icecrown citadel is BiS.

But your other 2 recent posts should have a bit more context (title and body) if you don't want your posts deleted. Otherwise it looks like you're using the forum for tweeting.

So while going through my account i saw this old legend sitting around and thought it would be fun to maybe start playing him again, is my gear still relevant? is there stuff i should get? also is anyone recruiting for a guild prefer my server but if your active enough ill transfer

thanks

Very nice toon, from MOP days it looks. Unfortunately I don’t think any of those blues or PVP pieces are BIS. However that is good for you, because now you can make the decision if you want to level him out of the bracket or gear up.

With gem slot availability fairly similar, I like to group 60, 70 and 80 together. 60, you will have a lot of fun and not be at a disadvantage to 69s.

70 this is the same thing, with 70s having a bit more advantage against 79s than 60s do against 69s only because their secondary’s tank when you get close to 79.

(Edit: not to be confused with 70s being stronger than 79s, just compared to how 60s are to 69s, they have a better fighting chance)

80 is a whole different story. A 89 twink is 2 xpacks ahead and there is a noticeable different. You might find yourself being killed by a random 89 BM leveling hunter. It’s just the nature of the bracketing system now. Blizz unintentionally, maybe intentionally closed the gap a little when the stat squish happened, and stats on 80 gear were closer to 89 than they were before. But the bracket just goesnt feel twinky at all unless your 89.

Where you go from here is up to you. You could stay 80 and I’d be able to provide tons of awesome suggestions on up to date gear because I think they are still cool twinks with the kind of secondaries you can achieve. But also if you want to level out, I can suggest bracket options of what I think rogue would be gimp in

Telling someone with a helm enchant to level
D:

Honestly, I would just sit full wrathful.

Maybe gem the haste meta gem for the helm and keep that because of helm enchant but when it comes to the rest of the set, would it be worth it? Would lost some sockets and you could get a lot more secondaries you would be wanting as outlaw. Meh, don’t know much about 80 bracket but I find pvp power weak and sockets very strong personally.
[doublepost=1541258543,1541258182][/doublepost]I think most of the BIS 80 pieces come from ICC heroic 25 with the exception of some pieces for some classes coming from Ulduar hardmode bosses, 10 and 25 heroic Trial, for pieces like double socket bracers, Cloak, and ring. Also there is a double socket JC ring, as well as 2 double socket trinkets. As a rogue, might want to rock necklace of deep because it has base agil and 2 sockets.

Dont level ffs

thanks

Solid base to work on!

I'll post my 80 rogue's armory for you to take a look at what looks like BiS-ish gear :) You'll notice a lot of gem pieces come from 70 content.

Ignore my daggers, lol. ICC 25heroic weaps would be BiS MH with the Karazhan Opera OH 3x socket dagger.

Wow guys really appreciate the love on this post, im looking at all youre guys options, id never level this toon just because hes all original, good memories, back to the toon i'm seeing alot of relevance with gemslots, sponsor thats crazy how many 70 pieces you use

The gear you should swap is basicly evreything if you wana go to BiS that rogue. Big shout out to the helm enchant! But some basics is double socket neck from jc and cloak from general vezax in ulduar HM. Trinket is Banner of Victory combind with mirror of truth (the one you got atm) which gives you 150 attackpower procs each.

The wepons varies but if you want to go Outlaw which is best ATM, there is 2 proc weapons that gives you 24% haste if both procs called the bladefist and Blackout Truncheon. The main gear will almost only be from tbc dungeons and Quesst chains due to most number of sockets and better scaling on them than ulduar and icc gear.

I will assume that you do not play 80 at all, since the 80 gear from tbc dungeons scale better than the DS gear with both sockets and stat wise. The only advantages that 89 twinks have is the eng items such as cogwheels. The mop blues are completly usless since the scale nerfed them to the ground. Also if you do not feel "twinky" when you do 3x the dmg in every BG as the levelers i dont know how you feel "twinky".

I have a 60, 70 and 80 arcane mage and I can tell you right now, 60 and 70 feel way stronger than 80.

Also I said nothing about MOP blues, and cogs arnt the only advantage 89d have. Lmfao.

What advantages does 89 have over 80, 85?

Yo would love an armory link for your 80, it's not in your signature.

Sum’ bish, your right! I’ll add on my lunch at noon.
[doublepost=1541699881,1541699650][/doublepost]Edit: ADDED. It shows me at like 50% crit, that is incorrect. It’s actually 64% in game

Cheers my dude, now time to perve.

Edit: I see you loveee crit. Do you do enough damage sacrificing other stats in favor of crit? and do you have an opinion on 4set Mana-Etched Regalia?

Before the xpack, was pushing 80% crit however I had full crit gems, making my int lack. However with 5 int 5 crit gen being 1 crit less than best crit gem, I’ve seen a drastic difference in performance in BGs. 89s still wreck me though
