class viability debate lol

God forgive somebody playing a class they enjoy, instead of something extremely faceroll. How do you expect a new player to learn the ropes & get better at the game if they main a skill-floor class such as balance druid or arcane mage? I've played the game since early TBC and started twinking in WOTLK, I know for a fact a tier 3 or 4 spec can make a huge impact in a pug, they just need to be in the right hands. You keep talking about "encouraging/justifying new players" but nobody is doing any encouraging besides you; I am simply claiming that a non-FOTM spec can be impactful in different situations.

Im sure you have no frame of reference as to how endgame PVP works, but CC is the KEY.
We are talking about a bracket with 0 sources of dispel outside of trinket, so that makes every CC extremely valuable.
If you can force a healers trinket with cheap shot (or sap, knowing 19 twink players...) then follow it up with a 6 second fear, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to get a pick, resulting in the upper hand during a team fight.

8 seconds leaves you out of combat, which could result in a 2nd sap as well. (follow it up with a polymorph and you just kept the healer out of a fight for 8 more seconds...)

You're inclined to believe that there are more pros than cons with this class, but at the end of the day, getting picks is the name of the game, and if you can synergize crowd control, you'll dominate the playing ground and consistently have the upper hand in a competitive atmosphere. You argue that warlocks burst damage keeps them out of the discussion, even though they can instantly do 600 damage Between a CB/CFG/EF, which is 50% of the average twinks health.

As far as I'm concerned, you've been in the twink community for a month or two, doing nothing but trolling. You are the LAST person who should be spilling any advice on any topic, inside or outside of this game. I think its great how you make an effort to promote your bracket, but stay in your lane until you actually break things down and earn some credibility. Not all specs are viable, but the majority (even the underdog ones) are in this bracket. If someone wants to play class X over class Y, let them. If they so chose they have every right to create another character and venture further.

I hope your pond is connected to the Dalaran sewers, because you need to hope in the arena & get some insight as to how PVP works.
you're actually trolling lol

@Frogturtle I really dont know what to say to you anymore. Too much contaminated water must have weaseled its way into the pond or something & it's gotten to your head

Neebler/frogchamp isnt exactly a troll at all. The frogchamp persona is a silly side of his which is very welcoming to people (or annoy), but nonetheless, this thread is directed towards classes to suggest for new players. A new player wants to know what classes are simply better than others. The information frogchamp had given was exactly what is wanted. Personally, if a player is wanting to improve quickly, i suggest playing a weaker class. However, to suggest that class to new players could be beneficial, but if the player doesnt realy know ehat theyre getting into- it will be a rough start for them. Either way, im on mobile rn so not typing for another few hours. Happy debating, all!

That's actually false, this thread was made with different intention and was changed to what it currently is now, Hence the edit on the first OP. Even so, new players should play what they are COMFORTABLE*** playing.

1. end is completely different from 19s, please stop comparing them, one is vastly more complex than the other so these arguments don't apply 1 to 1

2. i twinked in vanilla, bc and wrath, then twinked again mid legion-present, in legion i played rogue, one of the most punishing classes to play at the time, and half of my job was sapping targets off of fears and other cc

3. for the 50 billionth time I am not saying people have to play fotm just that they shouldn't play bottom tier trash, mw monk isnt top tier and I main it, my alt is a mm hunter which is mid tier at best

4. multiple players from LSN agree that warlock is terrible at 19 I just asked two whose names I will leave out so they don't get dragged into this

5. this whole bracket is my lane lol i try to post community fun content and also offer insight which ppl can take or leave

6. ppl can play whatever they want, im not going to hack their computers and delete their toon if they roll a ww monk

7. the sewers is where weasels who play warlock end up after we flush them down the executive toilet right next to the big lily pad Bv)

8. ya this thread was to offer choices that would give good returns on time investment so ppl wouldn't hate their lives when they pick something weak and get destroyed which would result in them changing classes and having wasted gold on their bad twink

9. #frogchamp 2018 ur still a pondboy jwl dont let the darkness misguide u

I am really passionate about this issue. Please keep posting.

I agree, new players should play what they want to play.

So i can solo them without losing more than 5% hp

1. End is completely different than 19, I agree: one requires a brain while the other doesn't. I mentioned endgame simply as reference to explain how important CC chaining is and how there are very few synergies to utilize in this bracket. Not once have I compared them lol.

3. You're literally encouraging people play FOTM, which is on a rotation. Just let people play what they enjoy. Every class gets the spotlight from time to time.

4. Im not interested in what anyone has to say. The original debate was discussed because you said nobody should ever play class X because they have no advantages and I put out my argument. Anything outside that is inconclusive. I tried to offer ideas and/or variety into reroll selection so the bracket isnt infested with even more players spamming arcane missiles or moonfire
[doublepost=1539793640,1539793408][/doublepost]I really dont know what point you're trying to make. It seems like you want everybody to ride the wave & play whats trending, which ultimately will destroy the only bracket you seem interested in. I've said what I wanted to say and Im not gonna get repetitive.

You're a Great FC, i enjoy the games we get together. :)

I was going to mention the SP rant you went on, but ultimately, it doesn't justify that you're encouraging everyone to play top tier classes.

I'M NOT DOING THIS AHHHHHHH

I'M NOT DOING THIS AHHHHHHH

So when you made your little tier list, and said what should and shouldn't be played, that's not encouraging FOTM?

NO it isn't because if I wanted people to play top tier FOTM this would have been my entire options list:

boomkin

rsham

arc mage

disc priest

I listed like 14 specs most of which are super not fotm

New brotha’s, play whatever the fook u want so I don’t have to wait as long in ques. I guarantee that after one day of 19s you lvl another one because u think it looks fun. If you would like to play in war games, you will most likely have a much higher chance of getting invited playing an arcane mage over a warlock because missile spam is just straight up dumb OP. That being said. In the random life in which probably 60% or more of even really good players games aren’t played, play whatever is funnest. It ain’t hard to try them all it is in the end only 19 levels.

No, play ww monks so jwl can get bloodthirsty.

jwl wants people to play shit classes so they can shit on em dont listen to its lies

Nice that you finally replied after I @ you 3 times. A day late but no worries.

1) I dont even actively play the bracket first of all, and when I do play I solo queue. If I was trying to dodge a bunch of FOTM twinks I'd reroll one myself and queue as a group to counter it.
2) Nothing I said was a lie. If you'd like to elaborate further, please, be my guest. (wont happen though, I already requested your clarification and you couldn't back yourself up there)
3) When I join a BG, I prefer to see a diverse range of specs on both factions. Makes the game way more interested.

Edit: Im a FC player anyways why would I care what the enemy team plays? I'm more concerned about the plays the enemy team actually make.

Thats right I forgot it was an obligation to explain to why playing a feral druid, guardian druid, affliction warlock, demonology lock, windwalker monk, brewmaster monk, retribution paladin, protection paladin, frost mage, fire mage, protection warrior, arms warrior, assassination rogue or subtlety rogue is a bad idea right now.

Nobody is saying dont play these specs, theyre saying its in your best interest to play a different spec in your class. No shit it might be more fun playing something else, but youre just gimping yourself doing so.

You dont go into a race with 3 wheels and think youre on par with a 4 wheeler.

If im right this thread was for new players and you saying some dumb shit like play whats fun for you, letting them toss the dice and most likely play something bad isnt helping anyone but you, when you get into those "class diversity" games against them.

oh btw youre a dimwit who doesnt actively play this bracket so stay out of it
