Is 30-39 even good?

From the 30-39 playerbase view; what makes 30-39 better than other brackets?
I'm considering a 49 twink - over a 39 - because of PvP Talents, but what do you think makes 39 twinking superior to other brackets?

Why 49 when 59 has TBC gem gear etc? Why a 59 when 60 has another row of talents, or 70 over 60 because it has an extra row of PvP talents ad infinitum til 120

Personally I find 39's quite a chill bracket - nothing seems broken ( disc /war / boomie maybe ), 19 /29 seems broken atm, don't play 49 or 59 regularly. 60 is fun, 70 is really good atm

39 - because of the community. Everyone seems to get along here. Toxicity is down to a bare minimum. We're all just looking to bash our skulls together and laugh about the games after, highlighting clutch moments. It helps that many of us have twinks on both sides, so one day we may play with our friends, the next we may play against them. It's all in good times :)

At least on US. I'm not sure how different it is for EU.

30-39 and 60 are the only brackets I play right now, I like 30s thought idk why it just feels fun most of the time. I feel like discs are a tad annoying. I am a bit jealous of rets having so many nice abilities at this level as well. Feels a bit off playing rogue without vanish but it works out.

49 has the imbalanced ramsteins trinket and sultraze. 39 is the best.

As a longtime player of the midbrackets, I feel each one currently has something worthwhile to offer.

39s are in a neat place right now. The second row of talents provides good options for many classes. A variety of gear exists to customize according to playstyle, and while 49s and above offer a few more gear options, there isn't any must-have gear at 39 to be effective on the field (unlike 49 and 59). Getting 95% BiS stat-wise at 39 is fairly straightforward, and while obtaining that last 5% can be a royal pain in the ass (definitely harder than 49s or 59s because certain 39 scaled BoEs are so rare), it hearkens to the glory days of gearing up for swag appeal.

Discs and fury warriors are top dogs, but not as extreme as 49s and 59s. Like any bracket, healers are really strong thanks to their crazy off-damage. The stat gap between twinks and levelers at 39 is smaller compared to brackets below and above, so blowouts happen a little less often.

As others said, the main appeal for 39s resides in its pace. The damage-to-health ratio sits lower than the other brackets. When I want to play a hero with broad shoulders, I do 49s or 59s. When I want a different kind of intensity where I need to read the field more, 39s call to me.

39s are nice because gearing is a lot easier than some of the other brackets, and the damage in the bracket is considerably lower than in some of the other, very bursty brackets. This makes for a refreshing change of pace. It's kind of like Country Time Lemonade with Pepperidge Farm cookies--mounts are slower, TTK is longer, and the BGs just have a nice, somehow-nostalgic feel to them. Most classes/specs can do quite well, and the community is cool. 39s are tied with 70s for my second-favorite bracket.

So I'll bite and give my .02 cents on this bracket. Everything expressed in this post is simply my OPINION™, based on my observations.

I think 39's are in a great spot right now, as they are among the most active (queue times average ~5 mins for alliance, ~10 mins for horde), and I believe it to be a healthier and more fun bracket than the previous two. Reasons for this are: You have access to your second row of talents which provides a little more diversity and depth to playstyle. This is the first bracket where you can use the new scaled epics, which although they are not necessary to have a well geared character, do provide that little extra edge over the competition, as well as swag factor. Gearing and leveling are still quick and easy. Basically all class/spec combos are viable. The communities set up by @Sun are thriving, though it seems that alliance tends to be more active. There doesn't seem to be a lot of toxic flaming going on, as most players seem to be about playing competitive games against each other, and not about degrading or humiliating one another.

All in all, if you are looking for a fun bracket to start twinking in with a low barrier to entry, 39's are it!
