Things to do between BGs

ive finally got all my gear and consumables etc. together, so im kind of lost on what to do in between bgs. i was thinking maybe some kind of exalted grind, rare item farm etc but i cant think of anything specific

what are you guys doing between ques?

What blues drop there
 
You can do a lot of stuff while waiting for those BG ques to pop.

- Explore the various zones in hopes of uncovering the entire map. (This also gives you some achievements.)
- You can run around and collect Pets or Toys. (Whatever you can obtain with your lower-level characters.)
- Finishing up Quests for Transmogs you might have missed. (Also Fishing & Cooking Dailies for other rewards.)
- Treasure Chest Hunting as outlined by the Guide in my Signature. (The equipment won't scale.)
- Find a high-respawn mob camp, and just mindless kill those NPCs for a week or two. (Might get a Blue BoE.)
- Attempt to kill high level mobs that yield specific Reputations in Expansion Content. (Might need high level help.)
- Take up @Donor's hobby of farming Tol Barad Reputation. (Here's his Thread!)
- Turn on World PvP and go looking for trouble in high traffic questing zones.


There's a ton of stuff to do while waiting for your next spanking in BGs.
The cool things is: You can mix two or three of those activities together; I did WPvP + Arcaeology.

You can get quite a few different world blue BoE's. Weapons unfortunately scale to ilvl 30, usable at 22, but Armor, Rings, Shields can scale to ilvl 28, usable at 20.
I recently picked up https://www.wowhead.com/item=13057/bloodpike, but I need to wait for game time to get the mog. Also, I have a https://www.wowhead.com/item=13094/the-queens-jewel in my Misty's bank. There's been a few others, but they are few and far between.

Gnomer specific blues don't scale down to 20, so the scaling is limited to world blues, and you don't have to worry about the bosses, just clear the trash and from time to time you'll strike the jackpot. ;)

That ring is actually pretty cool.
 
Go outside.
Spend time with the family.
Work on stuff in the garage. (We have two classic cars. There is always things to do with them.)

Then again, I only play WoW about 3-4 hours a week. If that much. Too much to do. I simply don’t have the time to sit and wait. When BGs popped nearly instantaneously it was awesome! Not so much anymore.
Kudos for people that have that kind of time/patience to sit down for hours on end. That just isn’t for me. I have to be active.
I would think if downtime between BGs are that bad a person could take some online college courses and study during that period they were waiting. They could better themselves. Journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.
The times when I queue the wait is usually 3-5 minutes. That isn’t too bad. I queue exclusively as a healer though. And at peak times.
