I'm fairly certain the ilvl of shadowfang got changed to ilvl 23 with stat squish. Just like sunlute did in 85's. just got a blanketed with all the other drops in the 19 bracket. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Why all the hype on shadowfang anoymore? It has a lower topend and less dps then crate weapons and the proc is so low damage and infrequent that its almost worth ignoring. Is 6 agility and the occasional ele force proc off shadowfang proc worth the hype?

6 agi is the highest on a 1h, and the proc can proc elemental force. Its the best offhand option. Mainhand you would want the BG crate (or warforged invasion wep).

On realms with highly populated twink communities, it's going to sell radically higher.
But on other realms, even high pop, it's going to sell for dramatically less.
On Proudmoore I've got a handful of them, and it took 4 months of regular listing and OBO in Trade just to get it to go for 75k.
On other realms, I haven't had much issue selling them for 200-375k depending.
On Aerie Peak, somewhere in between those prices.

Needless to say because of this post I decided to check the AH as I have been needing one for my offhand (rogue). Finally fully BiS as I was able to snipe it for 89k! Not a bad catch as I never see them below 200k ‘round here.
What I found interesting was I bought this on my 19 shaman, and the tooltip says 8 shadow damage, while on my 19 rogue it stats only 7 shadow damage. So it differs from class to class but clearly the main source would be rogues as it doesn’t have an alternative stat swap for other classes.

How much better is BG crate weap compared to a 6 agi SF? Because if SF can proc ele force, would it be best to duel wield? Cuz I thought BG crate weap is only like 1 more item level higher making the dps on it just a hair higher
Also with how bursty you need to be in this bracket because of OP heals, wouldn’t you want the chance to get duel elemental force procs for the heat of the moment

protip: check tooltips, The Pacifier has lower topend dmg than Loom, BG crate etc but has higher tooltip value.

Pro tip I did check tooltip, the crate weapon = bigger sionister strike and dispatch hits

Yes but by how much higher of a top end? And how much more does it end up making your sins hit for? Does that bit higher of damage outweigh ele force procing more often?
