Some BFA things tested in instance PVP

So many of your posts are pessimistic...
I'll go ahead and say that class imbalance has been a thing for a long time in wow twinking. cata hunters, mop hunters and rogues, wod bm monks, legion hunts, now BFA hunts and maybe a few others. Seeing how other classes are also becoming pretty strong, having more imbalanced classes just makes it balanced. The fun is in gearing, enchants, and destroying people without them in BGs. Plus in wargames people will obviously put bans on fotm classes or restrictions. It's always been that way. If you're one to solo queue 24/7 then that sucks if you get grouped up on by fotm.
I just wanna say /highfivebro. More people need to understand what "Twink" really means. <3

I tested some enchants gear swaps etc for BFA in instanced PVP, bare in mind a lot is probably going to change as it is only PTR, but a lot of this is really cool for twinks of all levels.

This is all at level 19, but plenty of good info in general for other brackets as well.

Also this is just a highlight and take from my VOD, so no editing and such but a legit 40 or so minutes of testing various enchants and trinkets etc.

Short list of things i noticed:

All enchants seem active
Most trinkets are working inside arena (BGs yet to be tested)
Gear matters, ILVL does not!

Thank you for your testing and most importantly, thank you for sharing it.
OMG.... I think I just jiz--d!! total goose bumps... Blizzard is battlerezzing our twinks!!!! So freakin happy. The great part about this is that effort counts.... Grinding out the pieces, theorycrafting, researching and networking the best builds, chants, quest items and everything else associated with twinking willl actually count!! For those of you that have skill and do the grind, you will be like gods. BUT ,to those of you with skill (that have been kickin my d^@k in the dirt for a couple expansions now), and do not do the grind for whatever reasons, look out cause this old scrub is gonna use everything available to me in game BGs to be the one that gets to go home to my inn and tuck my virtual kids in to bed. If you are either too busy, righteous, egotistical, lazy or whatever to do the grind, I'll make sure to send your virtual kids a letter as to why you aren't there to tuck em in anymore :) View media item 775 just sayin. (that somehow felt like a wwf prematch statement commercial) Can't wait to see how people stack their toons, so many options now, lovin it!!.. See you guys in the field and ... win, lose or draw......GGs. All my love, Somfas, the original scrub!

Twinking is what you make it. For some people, its about gearing up to shit on levelers. For others though, the separated xpoff BGs were the best things ever because every game was basically a 10v10 PUG.

Hi guys, someone know if Alchemist's flask work currently on live for BGs ?
http://www.wowhead.com/item=75525/alchemists-flask

Someone can also test it on Beta if it work on BGs ?

Will be a good buff for a 59 huh?
Currently on live the flask works in BGs.

On Beta i couldn't test if the Flask works in BGs but..

(screen taken on my 39 twink)

either it's a bug, since the flask requires 300 alchy, else RIP flask for low level twinks.

I wonder if dancing steel (procs 15 agi on 19 on beta) and/or mongoose (procs 14 agi + 4 haste on 19 on beta) is going to be viable options, or if elemental force is still going to be the go-to. I'm just tired of ele force really. Other enchants seem more "interesting" to me. Any chance of testing the dps differences? My guess would be that ele force is still the superior enchant, although I'd personally like to see other enchants being viable instead.

I believe it's average proc is a staggering 98 damage, which is a lot to be fair.

I'm probably going to spend some time on PTR tonight hammering on a test dummy, I managed to copy over another 2 19's last night, along with a number of different Weapon Chants. I dont have a 19 Rogue but will test on a WW Monk.

Not relevant to a 19 but on my 39 Monk I equipped a pair of weapons that give a debuff ( sorry their names elude me atm) and the debuffs rarely dropped of. Unfortunately the weapons are unenchanted so what i couldn't test was do the debuffs share the same internal timer as say Dancing Steel / Mongoose

Do you or does anyone know of an addon that tracks weapon / trinket procs ?

TellMeWhen or NeedToKnow used to be the go-to for these kind of things, but people also use Weakauras. Personally haven't used any of these addons in a long time. You could configure them to keep track of internal cooldowns etc. as well so you knew when to expect a proc.

The Alchemist Stones are only useful for Levels 58+. All 'Outland' versions of professions require Level 58 to train.

Atleast that's how it is with Engineering. There may be a loophole with other professions.

No level requirement to learn it, only professions

To learn the recipe you need Outland Alchemy (50) which you can only learn on a 58+ toon. The item itself is BoP, so there is no way to use it on a character lower than 658.

I didn't word what I was looking for very well, I was looking for an addon that logged how many times an effect proc'd during a fight or timescale. Not something that predicts or pops something on screen to tell me it's active, much like recount does with damage.

No problem with a damage proc like Ele force but with Mongoose / Dancing Steel etc it would be useful to know how much up time each had. How much up time you feel you get vs reality is sometimes very different.

2 daggers. same enchant. rogue, sub spec.
Note that auto attacks are the biggest damage dealer.
200-300% more over your attacks.

Elemental skill force
Damage : 89-100 none crit, 130 - 145 when crit

Total hp at 20 : 1.2-1.7k

110 sees it as:
damage : 760-880 non crit
damage : 1.150 - 1.225 crit
Total hp at 25k

-------

Unholy Weapon
Damage : 45 as shadow damage
Do not crit // 4-7 procs per min
Debuff on target : Damage done reduced by 13 for 12 seconds // Does not stack.
110 level sees it as : 384 dmg
total hp 26k

Life Stealing
Damage : 30 / heal 30
proc - 5-8 per min
110 level sees it as : 257 dmg
total hp 26k

Dam, I have the shield but it no longer changes into the horde staff when u mail it (unless im doing it wrong). Guess ellie force shields are grandfathered.
