Epic weapons VS Greens & Blues of SAME item level

Does anyone, regardless of character level, have the ability to check an epic weapon vs a blue / heirloom / green weapon of same ilvl and corresponding weapon category on BFA beta/ptr?

I am curious as to how the stats look like, whether the epic actually holds any value over the others.

nope, main appeal of epics at this point is their ability to achieve a much higher ilvl than their blue/green counterparts respective to your level

Does that mean you have checked the stat differences, or? Are they the same? Worse?

If events scale like they have in the past, like with valentines neck, I wonder how an epic weapon of similar style would look like in stats compared to those of same item level. The valentines neck for instance, does not have any pimary stats, but the gains on the secondary stats aren't that bad, number-wise. This is why I was originally wondering how the weapons would pan out.

@Bestworld I'll log onto my 39 Monk on the PTR after work, I have 2 different Epics - a few different ilevel Blues and a couple of unbound greens for comparison. working from my rather poor memory ...

A Green weapon of item level 43 / 44 on retail - gets it's suffix changed to something random BUT it keeps the original item level, iirc the green one handed sword I have in inventory is better stat wise than the downgraded item level blues. I will confirm this later.

just looking at my dungeon journal on live some of the epics I see in dungeons are 8 ilvls higher than the rares in the same dungeon and the stats are the same. It's going to be even worse with the squish

Yeh my suspicions were correct, fkn rip.
People better not cuck themselves and start stocking up on those BoE's.

Only scaled BoE epics still have a huge difference in item level. BoP epics are already nerfed.

Fat chance that BoE will follow, but they haven't yet.

Timewarped also seems to be some sort of exception to the rule that rares are +1 ilvl and epics +2 ilvl of your current level. There are a few rare items that break this rule.
