EU+US Patch 7.3 gear changes for 20's

The Beast Within
With the recent changes in 7.3, I was hoping to get a list of gear changes all in the one place. If you are aware of any changes to BiS gearing, please post and I'll try keep this thread updated. This relates to 20's only.

I don't have a lot of toons, so I can only report what I've found on mine. Feel free to post any discoveries you have made. What I'm looking to achieve is a one stop shop for all the changes so we can work out BiS requirements post 7.3.

Ok, here's the changes I have found so far (note that this does not take into account ilvl 30 & 35 Fel gear. It's no longer obtainable so not worth mentioning) :-

iPvP
Weapons (now all same speed)
http://www.wowhead.com/item=5813/emils-brand - Ally only ilvl 32 two-hander
http://www.wowhead.com/item=134635/recruits-decapitator - ilvl 28 blue version two-hander (for Horde)
All bg box blues (daggers, guns, one-handers) now BiS weapons for iPvP. Only mentioned the two-handers above as Ally have access to a higher ilvl one.

Items

PvE
Weapons
All bg box blues (daggers, guns, one-handers & two-handers) now BiS weapons for iPvP.(only marginally better than looms - depends what secondary stats your after). Only exception are BM & Marks Hunters that can put a better scope on the loom bow.
http://www.wowhead.com/item=3078/naga-heartpiercer - this still tops Ag. For F2P's, is this better than the bg blues?

Items
http://www.wowhead.com/item=4676/skeletal-gauntlets - lost 3 Str but gained secondary stats

http://www.wowhead.com/item=12994/thorbias-gauntlets - now includes Int. Is this BiS for Int?

http://www.wowhead.com/item=1121/feet-of-the-lynx - is this now BiS as it has the most Ag/Int?

Items hit with the nerf bat

Weapons
http://www.wowhead.com/item=133693/jagged-wing-slasher - now vendor trash! no longer the slowest dagger

Items
http://www.wowhead.com/item=24119/band-of-argas - the Argus rings (still good ilvl for F2P's)
http://www.wowhead.com/item=6321/silverlaines-family-seal - wtf happened to the Str?

http://www.wowhead.com/item=6906/algae-fists - lost 3 Str

http://www.wowhead.com/item=6911/moss-cinch - lost 3 Int, but possibly still BiS?
http://www.wowhead.com/item=888/naga-battle-gloves - Can't find old stats but seems to have lost Ag
http://www.wowhead.com/item=63344/standard-issue-prisoner-shoes - lost Ag but now has secondary stats

As a general note, it seems most dungeon items now also have the option of Ag / Int or Str / Int. This could mean some items that were not available to certain specs may now be BiS for those specs. I'm interested to see what others have found.

Just a side note, but did the quest in BFD always award items with ilvl 28? http://www.wowhead.com/quest=34672/the-rise-of-akumai - There's also a Horde version. I know the shield was higher ilvl than 25, but I didn't realise the other items were also.

Let's see if we can get to the bottom of all the changes!

The naga gloves had 7sta/7agi

The naga gloves had 7sta/7agi
Over all I'm disappointed in the changes and losing stats. However there are some new bis for the stat merges. So in that sense it's good but overall I'm losing main stats outright and at best getting secondary stats. Another blow to twinking.

Protrockin/Zorblast

Lol silverlaine ring became a typical legion ring with no primary stat

Honestly blizzard wasting their time nerfing irrelevant shit when they got endgame stuff to focus on

fang gear seems insane for druids+shamans now
Fang set is probably even BiS for holy paladins given how much int (+20 int and 4 haste total, at +5 int for 2 piece, +4 haste at 3 piece, +5 at 4 piece, and +10 at 5 pieces) the fang set bonus gives as well on top of the set pieces also giving int (for outside iPvP of course). Or at least BiS for stacking int.

One small peculiar detail I noticed with regards to iPvP: according to my ability tooltips (as an arms warrior), the BoA axe still yielded better tooltip numbers than Emil's Brand, though I'll do another match to confirm. Then again, the tooltips show exact numbers instead of a range of possible values, which in actuality may vary due to some of those abilities scaling with weapon damage instead of purely AP (and I don't know how to show that range of values on tooltips. Previously that was possible with checking "enhanced tooltips" in settings, but such interface options were removed in legion or earlier. If anyone knows how to change that, do let me know!).

Minor note: some ally grandfathered items from BFD before its revamp in WoD (like Band of the Skull Crusher and Gloaming Band) did not change at all in 7.3.

Some extra item changes:
-Rifle Commander Eyepatch [and its mail equivalent] now instead gives [8 agi/int, 8 stam, 7 crit] instead of [7 agi, 10 stam, 7 crit].
-There's a new mail helmet drop in SFK for (pure) F2P horde hunters and shamans (from last boss in SFK): Worgen Hunter's Helm.
-Lavishly Jeweled Ring lost its int, much like the Silverlane ring from SFK lost its STR.

, post: 1068411, member: 23018"]Lucky Fishing Hat is gfd for leather/mail/plate users, making it available to Priest/Warlock/Mage only http://www.wowhead.com/item=19972/lucky-fishing-hat. A new change I noticed in dungeons is the solo loot, exactly like endgame loot system, so if you're a druid you will only loot 'Leather' items and nothing else, wasn't prepared for that sadly :/[/QUOTE]
SFK and Stockades has this solo loot system now (confirmed: soloed SFK once on a druid, got all leather drops on bosses and 1 staff at last boss. And on my prot paladin soloing stockades, he got the new plate belt, another skeleton plate hand, and the new plate shoulders from Hogger]. WC still has need/greed rolls on drops, so classes like holy paladins may still have luck getting pieces of the fang set. Haven't checked deadmines, RFC, or BFD yet [though I conjecture that deadmines is solo loot, while RFC and BFD continue to have roll-need/greed-on-drops, since RFC and BFD received almost no additions to their loot drop tables, while deadmines did and its lavish ring got the all-secondary-stats-only changes.].

@lfh and solo loot changes

Why do they do this crap, so frustrating. Why do they care so much about nothing? Just put in the passive 5% stat increase for correct armor if you want and be done with it. We can't add it to mog system if we shouldn't wear it anyways. All of this is stupid... but at least let us loot the item.

For level 20s:
Gold-flecked gloves was changed from 6 int/4 stam to 4 int/4 stam/2 crit/4 vers, while Serpent Gloves was nerfed from 6 int/4 stam to 4 int/4 stam. (Among more item changes to note in due time, though for cloth hands, what's BiS outside iPvP for cloth int wearers is likely one of these gloves, which is either Gold-flecked gloves or Serpent Gloves, or Magefist Gloves if you're very lucky or a vet 20, or perhaps Phoenix Gloves if you're a vet [note that wowhead's live info on a fewitems can be incorrect, while wowhead's PTR database is correct and current, at least for now.).

Also, not able to confirm yet if BFD has a solo loot system or not (though I conjecture it doesn't, much like RFC and WC doesn't). I was able to check RFC and deadmines though, and RFC doesn't have the solo loot system, while deadmines does.

If BFD doesn't have a solo loot system, then in summary we have:
-RFC, WC, and BFD remain normal,
while
-Deadmines, SFK, and Stockades now have the solo loot system.

However, deadmines from what I've seen has a new bug under this new solo loot sytem (and only on this boss, and fortunately on no others): Glubtok, the first boss of deadmines (and one that drops Gold-flecked gloves) does not appear to drop anything at all (while all other bosses drop at least 1 item). Whether solo-clearing that boss as a priest, warrior, etc., or clearing it with a group through group finder, etc., he doesn't drop anything at all, nor for anyone else in a group.

when legion just started, you could change personal loot to group loot by creating a party, changing it to a raid, changing it to group loot, then changing it back to party. but im not sure if it still works now. and even if it does work, im not sure if this will enable drops of other armor types

Yeah I noticed this also. Emil's and the ilvl 28 axe in iPvP show one value, while the loom sword and axe show higher values (abilities and melee). I've done a handful of bg's now and Recount doesn't indicate any real difference in terms of averages. In actual fact when using the looms I sometimes get lower averages than when using Emil's. It's strange as based on the tool tips the looms should do a lot better. I think something is odd with the looms as it's the same weapon speed so can't see why it would indicate higher damage values? Good Ol' Blizz and their patches!
