EU+US Thoughts on Shadow for a F2P?

Hello everyone I quit wow around a year ago after playing for 12 years and is interested in coming back as a f2p and was wondering how Shadow priest would be. I haven't seen a lot of them at the f2p because they're prob dog shit but I'd love to try and make it work!!
 
SP is very strong, you can get top dmg most bgs. You're pretty reliant on healers so if you're solo you won't be able to do much. I really enjoy it.
 
Spriest is an incredibly strong caster, now that burst dps for casters are nerfed quite alot and dots are the thing now. Of course, if a surv gets on you, nothing much you can do there. But you should be able to easily top damage charts
 
I'm having fun on my spriest. Only problem I notice is getting targeted as a healer. Might just be my imagination.
 
Yea Shadow Priest is very good atm, and is top of the mid tier imo. Here's my current meta tier ranking for DPS:

Surv>Arms>Spriest>MM Hunter>Destro Lock> Frost Mage>Other DPS

Though I must admit, Im not comfortable with playing Shadow considering how much of a gamechanger Disc is

I made a level 20 priest just for shadow, safe to say that character hasn't been played in months. Shadow is really lame in bgs that low lvl.
 
I don't know if mind flay still has the mind seer effect at 20 (despite the spellbook saying level 26) but if it still does, the addition of

as a lvl 15 talent can make shadow a huge threat in any flag room situations with the aoe pressure that shadow can pull off. The instant damage from shadow word pain on a target below 35% health triggers the 20% buff as well.

Shadow has a decent amount of resource management and things to keep track of which keeps things interesting. The damage is great right now too.

One thing to keep in mind though, playing shadow without the lvl 30 talent http://www.wowhead.com/spell=64129 makes fighting any strong melee practically impossible with psychic scream on cd. I rolled a worgen for my 20 priest and it's a little more tolerable.
