EU+US Schism OR The Penitent

I believe the decision is not as easy as some may make it seem.. Disc is a special spec with abilities and strengths that most seem to overlook. Thoughts??

Discs playing in bg's (from personal experience) now like to play Schism and when they start to get carried away with doing more damage than healing. The only time they would heal is when they got low. So running penitent forces them to stay on top of healing their team and only doing some damage here and there.

Penitent increases the priest's healing ability however in a premade setting with 3+ healers one good disc using schism would benefit the team bc a good disc is fully aware of who needs heals and bubbles in range while also using schism along with other dmg spells in between heal casts.. In this situation it is rare for the priest to have to cast heals consecutively unless the dps are very bad

An example of schism used correctly:

assessing the situation (who is going down faster my team mate or his target)

we will pretend my team mate warrior is going low very fast while his target (sv hunter) is staying up

bubble the warrior fear the hunter apply dot schism smite ×2 penance

heal warrior

you adapt maybe you might need to heal maybe dps maybe move this way maybe move that way maybe do multiple things at once it's a bg affected by every single players actions and with 20 players in wsg it's a fragile environment that can change drastically with the quality of players present and their individual decisions

Repent your sins i think

I should say its not a 100% chance but they've been working on 7.2.5 for a while so I think there's a good chance it stays in at this point.

I personally like the idea of schism in pugs. As if you solo queue you never know what you're going to be with and you can always change at the start of the game. However missing out on penance healing is also a big thing, so you have to see whats on both your side and their side. So for pugs there is a lot to look over and depends on comps etc, however for premades there is no competition. Penance healing ftw.
