US What's the most active F2P realm on US?

It doesn't mean someone is "deeply unhappy" because they've stated the facts about something when those facts happen to be "negative", but thanks for your faux concern. However, that's beside the point.

It's called fair criticism or critical thinking, something that doesn't seem to be in abundance with many WoW players or certain age groups. Instead, some you here want to kill the messenger when you don't like the message or you start bandwagon jumping like lemmings.

That's really the wrong approach if you'd like to see improvements in the game that we've all spent our hard-earned money on, not to mention loads of time.

I'm not on a bandwagon, nor am i incapable of critical thinking.

I've just found a way to enjoy the game in a manner i find fun.

I also have noted that you seem to not find the game fun. Which is fine. Your critiques are not invalid or wrong. I just don't find them applicable to my particular experience.

But don't mistake your peculiar brand of bellyaching for affecting change. Blizz doesn't care about sentiments aired in a third party forum dedicated to a niche within a niche style of play.

You're simply falling into a pattern of mistaking your discontent for insight, positioning yourself as truly enlightened because you've discovered that all games are designed to make money by providing an acceptable level of enjoyment while always dangling a carrot of progress and promise just out of reach.

We get it. Your views aren't new, unique or particularly insightful. Instead they fall into the predictable gaming "salt cycle". They're quite borish, actually.

The game will never go where you want it to. By design. So if you can't find a way to enjoy it as it stands, then do try to find yourself a new hobby. It's not your critiques that lead me to believe you're deeply unhappy. It's your continued involvement with a product you find so distasteful.

As for changing something i spend money on, this is the F2P forum. I haven't spent a dime on WoW in years. I stopped paying for it when i stopped believing it was a game worth paying for. Maybe that's the difference here. I recognize and enjoy what WoW is. You have a problem accepting that it's changed.

You spent your money when you bought the game and/or xpacs to keep up to date, or any extra services.

Subbing or not is another issue. I've been unsubbed for 90% of the time since the end of WoD, only subbed occasionally to support my twinks, and currently have 13 F2P's between both factions (recently raised a couple others to 29 or 39 to try them in those brackets). I also haven't bought Legion for previously stated reasons and my 100 main & 99 alts are just gold mules when before Legion I PvP'ed Rated for 3 or 4 seasons. So in that sense we agree it's not a game worth paying for anymore. That doesn't mean I can't point out the issues I still have with it.

I haven't "discovered" anything new here that you're trying to paint as such. Here's something you should consider: it's not our concern as customers/players how much Blizz profits - especially when it comes at our expense and satisfaction with the product. The problem is they've gone to extremes and the writing has been on the wall since at least WoD...when they put in RNG for BiS Accolade trinkets. A related issue is that fanboys don't like to admit it, but because I point these things out I get flak. It doesn't bother me.

"Blizz doesn't care about sentiments aired in a third party forum..." But I'm not trying to talk to Blizz here. I've posted many times on other forums for that, and to Blizz directly, to no avail since Blizz has shown it doesn't listen to its customers anymore, or at most, rarely. The days of Blizz North are long gone. We're discussing issues among ourselves here related to the game in general and twinks specifically.

"The game will never go where you want it to." Wrong assumption. IMO, the game was OK up through MoP (except for the rampant cheating that Blizz looked the other way on); even WoD for PvP wasn't a total trainwreck (Assran notwithstanding) because it didn't have templates, all RNG, and so much pruning. It still felt like a MMO then. Now it's just a glorified MOBA as I said.

Yeah well, nope. The reality is from BC up to WoD the game was not like it is now; they're not just balance or QoL issues. It's disingenuous to minimize or mischaracterize what it has become but there's no comparison.

I havent played end game since Wrath and I havent played it seriously since BC. So I don't know what you're referring to about RNG for trinkets and all that but it sounds like you've had some bad loot luck. Let me tell you a story about OG Naxx...

But these are trees and I think you're missing the forest I'm trying to get you to see. Which is...

Just because you no longer find the game enjoyable, doesn't mean it's not enjoyable for other people or that other people shouldn't enjoy it. What you see as problems (and some of what I see as problems) makes the game more accessible and fun for people who aren't us. Thats fine by me. I still find the game enjoyable despite these things. For what its worth, I find alot of Blizzards quirks as endearing as they are frustrating.

Your threshold for shenanigans may be lower. But do keep in mind not everyone is here for the same reasons you are, nor do they all have the same expectations of the game you do. Things that would "fix" the game for you might absolutely ruin it for others. Other who have also paid their money to play.

Not trolling but population-wise, Quel'thalas has 50+ pure f2ps at peak hours lol

But I agree that Aerie Peak has more f2ps if you want an english-speaking realm. Sadly, most people I found there weren't super social :(

In WoD, your BiS trinks for endgame PvP were things like Warmongering Accolade of Dominance that had a 0.9-3% drop chance from Champion's Strongboxes in Ashran or 3 RBG wins, which was a way not only to force you to grind Holunky's abortion of a "PvP" derp zone that most serious players hated, but also a way to acclimate people to the idea of RNG for PvP gear that Blizz obviously had planned long before of Legion's launch. Everything else you could buy with Honor/Conquest (that took a week with the catch-up limit except for the trinkets) and set up your toon the way you wanted, not Blizzard's shitty, rigged template system.

An RPG - a role-playing game - is supposed to be about choices in gearing and setting up your chars from whatever in the world you can obtain, especially for PvP where you earn the currency to buy items, not items that are pre-determined by a weighted or skewed RNG. Eventually the Haste version dropped for my warlock; good for Aff but never got the Crit or Mastery version for Destro, so had to use it on both specs for the whole season and it was BoP. None of the PvP'ers I knew got 2 different Accolade drops on the same toon.

That can't be written off as just "bad luck" or cute Blizzard "quirkiness". That's intentional gating and slowing you down. In Legion they've taken it to extremes and decide what your stats will be regardless of gear. That's when you've lost the RPG aspect and it turns into a bastardized MOBA or FP shooter.

Yes, "enjoyable" is relative. What I do know is that since last season the Rated ladders have been in virtual collapse because so many have quit endgame PvP - mostly due to RNG, the shitty template system, and a basically forced PvE grind for AP. Blizz even f.ucked up the R1 titles at the end that took weeks to get sorted because there were so few participants.

I mean, I understood what you meant.

Well you said, "So I don't know what you're referring to about RNG for trinkets and all that..." so I thought an explanation was in order.

@ Fry - I have 9 toons on Aerie Peak, 5 are F2P. Not sure about other guilds there but I've seen almost no one on from AP Twinks in months, except one who's a friend when I was in the guild is on regularly, maybe a couple others occasionally. The GM I haven't seen in ages.
