I was bored recently and tried hopping on my wow which i haven't played since wod only to be reminded my 20s had the message that i couldn't que for BGs from the xp glitch thing. I turned in a ticket because why not, turns out this GM claims that it is not a glitch and is working as intended. She also states that twinking is officially not a supported play style. I guess in the end it wasn't really a surprise as we've known blizz doesnt like us but it was just sad to hear. I may be done for now i may come back who knows. I was just disappointed and felt like it might be worth sharing. Thanks for all the great memories thus far.

Yeah well that's the thing with GM's, 1 says it's not intended and the other GM is as friendly as they come and unlocks ur exp in the blink of an eye. Never take GM's seriously cus' they don't know shit. You shouldn't ask for game time but rather just let them unlock ur chars exp themselves.
 
It really is a shame that they shun and/or ignore twinks. I'm almost certain they wish to remove the experience lock feature altogether. And I can't figure out why for the life of me. Any player sees a handful of them every time they walk outside orgrimmar or go to goldshire. But to this day, many deny their method of enjoying the game and treat us like utter trash, without ever having tried locking their xp in the first place, whether it be 19s or 101s. The elitist, selfish mindset that endgame is the only means of enjoyment in wow is absolutely absurd.

But they know how much of an uproar that would cause if they were to remove the experience lock feature. Twinks make up a fairly large percentage of players throughout wow's history. But blizzard tends to want to ignore statistics and push their agenda and changes in the game without players consent or feedback.

It almost makes me want to quit the game knowing that all my effort in my toons are jeopardized by being in the hands of someone who could care less about it unless I was sucking off the endgame teets.

edit: Just as Chainz said, though. This is merely a support agent. So you shouldn't take it as set-in-stone. These things vary based on who you're talking to. But NONE of them reflect the higher-ups' view on the matter.

edit 2: also you are not currently a paying customer. So that could be one catalyst to this kind of response.

I forgot to unlock one of my Alt's XP last week when my game time ran out. I raised a ticket on Friday. By Saturday morning it was unlocked and the others were checked for me as well. My experience is be polite, don't ask for or expect free game time and sometimes you will be given some. To be clear , I also said that it's because I Twink. Hope that helps.

i am well aware that i shouldnt have asked for free time but i didnt really care as i had pretty much given up at that point in the ticket.

I also know its not set in stone but its just knowing that is the opinion of even one of the lowest levels of blizzard is disappointing.

There was one time where i didn't have the spare money to buy my game time, so i had just put in a ticket and said it was so my "son" could play after a few years away from the game. The GM gladly said "sure" and put a week of game time on my account. It might have been two weeks actually.

I know it is very disappointing. Once I had a GM telling me that going to Pandaria on a lvl 20 was an exploit, when I just took a portal from a mage.
Some don't even know their shit, specially related to lower levels. It's upsetting and frustrating, but message another GM. There's some great GMs out there.

Also, I'd suggest not straight asking for game time, but asking them to unlock the xp bar on your toons. Some people have just gotten their toons unlocked, while others have gotten 1 or 2 days of free time, depending on the GM.
 
Keep sending tickets until you get a gm that understands the issue, took me 3 tries to get a gm who knew what I was talking about, the first gm gave me a response like what you said " working as intended" etc (load of bs) one said it's been removed from game (lol) and then I finally got one that gave me 2 days game time and knew exactly what I was talking about. Persistence is key here

I feel like telling a gm that their son is dying and would like to get back on his banned account before he passes might be a worthy tactic.

Use this SS and tell Gm that another Gm helped your friend in unlocking my Friends XP on his 20's who had the same problem as you
add some sauce like u are blackmailing him lol, it works 90% of the times, got 1 day gametime for two times like this!

Not all GM are idiots, some are freindly af
 
Can confirm what most other people in the thread are getting at:

Gamemasters are not representative of Blizzard at all. Half the shit they tell you is straight from a half-assed google/wowhead search, the other half is just their gut feeling (made up). Never take anything they say seriously.

If you want something done by gamemasters, keep ticketing until you find a gamemaster that does it, or until they explicitly tell you to stop ticketing on the subject.
 
2 solutions.
- Keep trying.
- Ask for 2 days of freetime for a madeup reason.
like you want resub but not sure if game is appealing enough for you at this time.

Will they ever actually tell you to stop ticketing the subejct? I heard that GM's weren't allowed to look into old tickets, thus assuming they would handle your request without prior knowledge.

I knew a guy trying to get his twink deleveled in mid-late MoP. He made a ticket every day and was eventually asked to stop.

with 95% certainty i can say this is not the case. even more so, i believe they have some sort of noting on accounts to identify any potential scumming.
 
A gm just refunded me a 50 Euro character boost, and all I did was just made a little story and be very kind and thankful.

Oh, I was just about to spam tickets all day every day from now on. For research purposes of course.... I'll still do it until they tell me to stop then xd.

Did he mark the previous threads as solved, before he post a new ticket? Maybe it would be less conspicuous, if GMs mostly concentrate open threads.

Has anyone tried resetting an already completed quest by a GM with success? Or replace a quest reward? For example to get the Thelwater's Steelwoven Eyepatch for your hunter. I tried once in MoP, but the GM said I completed that quest a long time ago. And it's allowed for them within three days only...
