EU+US Rejoice! In 7.2 Legendaries can be worn at 101!!!

Never seen that happen, but guess its time for world bosses then lol

This is from live US servers. Got it back in October or November. I'm unsure about badluck protection on a 101, but my understanding is anything can still give you a the obscenely small chance. I know a guy who got one of seagulls at 105 while leveling.

Were you there with him? I don't know anyone who's ever gotten a legendary off an add.

Was in voice with him and it was at legion launch. So can't vouch 100% accept he got it at 105, suppose it could of been off a rare mob at the time.

Legendary was off of the Ice guy world boss in SE highmountain. Only downside is its 910 instead of 940 if I were to get it now since I got it back in 7.0 Can't complain too much though because that passive for doing dungeons is going to be great.

If it goes through, if you get a legendary before the patch will it be locked at 110 or will it change to 101?

Transferred to PTR and my current legendary that requires 110 now requires 101. I would say for most people focusing on the crafted is probably a more realistic path forward. It doesn't hurt to be doing the world bosses but the crafted ones are wrists so it's not fighting with a BoE for iLvL. Plus the stupid movement speed and ability to fly will make world pvp and dungeons lolsy.

I do not play end game much, could someone clarify what this "crafted" legendary thing is all about?

Are you saying Tailors at max level can craft BOE legendaries? and ty @Roboartist for reply!

Specifics aren't on the PTR yet but every profession will be able to craft there associated armor classes BoE legendary at max level. Plate is a belt and every other one is a wrist AFAIK. So you will be able to buy them from someone else but I imagine the items will take farming the new Broken Isles Content so it will probably be incredibly inflated price-wise for awhile.

I went and did some research, this is what wowhead had to tell me

Tbh the effects on those BoE legendaries look a bit lame compared to the older ones, although at least they're a huge ilvl upgrade that's "guarenteed" for one slot. One option might be to farm Emissary Caches through that "rep above exalted" system they're adding. 80 Nelth's Lair runs = 1 box, not exactly fast but one of the few repeatable sources (haven't confirmed if normal dungeons can drop them below 110?) and you'd get about 16k AP in the process :p

If you are exalted on a 110 main, all rep tokens you get on that account are BoA. So you also get the advantage of sending it to a twink for 250 rep (275 if human)

Those mail gloves will make hunters very strong, we won't need to use cloth gloves, or 800 ilvl blue gloves. Same with the leather boots, for druids etc. Since there arent cloth or leather boe feet, that'll make leather wearers even stronger.

Wondering if a level 101 would actually be able to craft them, considering levelling leather working on my rogue for the gloves.

The way profession is made in Legion is not very forgiving for non-110s. Recipes are learned from quests which require 101+ character level. So, at 101 my priest cannot learn the recipe to craft certain materials which are required for the legendaries (and which are BoP). Sadly, 101s will be forced to purchase the legendaries they want.

One of the legendary mat is tradeable, the other is BOP, so you can collect most of the mats yourself and have a fee ready for a crafter. Pretty much same as the WOD Stage weapons/armor I guess.

I wonder if these will even count towards the legendary limit, or if there will simply be a crafted limit. Because in that case, we may be able to wear 2 legion legendaries
