You are right. I get that it won't be a true F2P, but as I've understood many people are making their characters on normal account and then when done they are transferring to F2P account so they can participate in PVP. So this skips the fee or 30 day wait to get to play.

But you can't trade items to accounts without game time, right? Idea isn't to leave the stuff with the account that has game time, but to trade them off to the F2P account

I still like playing WoW, but end game does not interest me. F2P gives me the option to still play the game and progress my character. Sure isn't for every one.
