With the current Dragonflight Talent trees MMs are able to get double tap and careful aim, meaning that every 1 minute they will most likely one shot you.

starting to see socketed lvl29 ilvl37 gears on AH .. nobody farms them before lololol .. was testing 4 mm hunters a month or 2 back, using xp reduced method to collect data .. there is a difference .. no matter how geared a lvl20 mm hunter, he CANNOT 1 shot in a bg .. a lvl29 can .. what that means is it can take out players especially healers from afar (over 4k when crit), we are talking about 50 yard range. moreover that set of data is based on the current talent system and only standard no socket ilvl37 gears which is EASILY and CHEAPLY available on most AH (max mastery min versa harmon gears)

once the farming for 29 ilvl37 gears with socket starts, sockets will allow 2 agil 2 mast gems usable on ilvl35 (ember) and ilvl36 (coral), unsure atm if they will give 1/1 or 2/2, but for sure hunters will have range of 52 yards or more, savant gears will also become available, plus that new DF talent (this is critical) which literally double the mm hunters dmg output within the same 4 to 5 sec (you no longer need crit to take out anyone) but in any case, the 20s will still be able to put up a good fight .. if you are a lone 29 up against an enemy with a bunch of geared 20s, you WILL still get farmed

players shouldnt spend too much time thinking about 20 or 29s, blizz had been doing stuff like this to players for years, you spent so much time gearing and the next thing you know that toon cant be used anymore, havent you learned ? things changed and you just need to keep adjusting .. when the wind direction changes and you dont move your sail, you will end up nowhere

This is the reality, the most I'd think is get that vendor socket gear in area 52, buy a few AH pieces and get your yuks.

Just as likely to get changed back again tomorrow as last to DF or longer.
