Enchanting and you, a brief summery.

Looking for ideas on getting epics to disenchant into https://www.wowhead.com/item=152877/veiled-crystal for some BFA weapon enchants.

Not liking my prospects so far.
I mean most of those weapon enchants look like they don't work on non-GF/glitched weapons due to ilvl constraints

Let us say I want to enchant my bramblestaff with naga hide >_>
[doublepost=1628052007,1628045403][/doublepost]I'm thinking BFA tailoring is the way to go. Can make https://www.wowhead.com/item=164675/sinister-combatants-satin-bracers with just 35 green cloth at 115 skill. Seems like not the worst grind known to man.

You can farm AD for tert+sockets or go to Voldun and farm for a hyena mount.

Yeah I used it for a bit too on my pala but it underperforms.
Yeah tried it with a friend last night, not so good unfortunately :( Some BFA enchants look real good tho, I'm curious about the "torrent of elements" one on Ele sham but idk how to lvl bfa enchanting efficiently as f2p

By the way, random info regarding the disenchant cauldron in the WoD garrison enchanting hut, you can use it to disenchant items from expansions up to WoD, not just the WoD ones. Useful in the fringe case you dont have ench on the char but you still want to stockpile mats. If you are vet, this is more helpful, bc you can have 1 char with all recipes, and you can farm mats with your main twink and stockpile for when you get game time.

Does this mean that I don't have to drop mining every time I want to clear out my bank full of gear? If I can just disenchant them all while I keep my skills that would be dope.

I also wanted to ask, in case anyone knows the answer, are there equivalent vendors for any of the other expansions? Ones which sell blue/purple gear (for gold) that you can disenchant? I've been saving every dust and shard from my Wrath gear for weeks but then I saw this thread and saw how trivial it was since you could buy the purples haha. Fingers crossed for another xpac too

Yes, that's why I think the enchanting hut is one of(maybe even top) the best building for garrison. Also, If you build a level 2 hut, you can assign a follower with the enchanting skill, and you can craft weapon illusions, that apply directly onto the weapons (its a forgotten tech, back in the day you could not put weapon illusions via the transmog window, so you basically made some scrolls that applied the desired graphic efect).

Vanilla has some that also have unlimited stock like the wolk vendors. TBC also has like 4(?) vendors that sell limited stock weapons you can D/E items from and they are scattered around so trying to do vendor only leveling for TBC is a long annoying process especially when you are already getting a bunch of greens and netherweave while farming for your dungeon socket drops

Amazing, I'll build one of them and keep my mining for the long Obsidium ore grind.

Sorry if the answer is somewhere and I have just missed it, but is there a list or guide which points me to those vendors? All of the levelling guides I find assume (which I don't blame them haha) that you can just buy the mats off the AH.
And when you say "limited", is it like, you can only buy a few weapons from a vendor and that'll be it? Or would it restock in a day or something?

Yeah each of the weapons has 1 instock that others can also buy and could take anywhere from 45min to a couple hours hours to restock.

These vendors may also work but its been awhile and I can't remember if their weapons were also eligible to D/E

A few weeks ago I decided it was time to put a +12 agi (Mighty Agility) enchant from Cataclym expansion on my Gnarled Ash Staff.
The problem I had is that I didn't want to drop Engineering so here is what I did.

I went to Twilight Highlands, on the coast just north of Dragonmaw Port. Here nagas battle against the friendly NPCs, they spawn constantly, you can easily kill these mobs like you would do for mobs your level.

I got enough green items in maybe a couple hours (while queueing BGs) to raise Cataclysm Enchanting to 20, learn the recipe and have enough mats to craft Mighty Agility on my staff (for the dream shards you can just disenchant gear bought at legacy vendors in Orgrimmar).

You could also disenchants the legacy valor gear for skillups, no?

Probably, I only found out late, I even started farming the Rare mobs in Cata zones, it was my plan for blue drops to get Dream Shards, and there are only few that do drop. I was talking about it in community chat in game and someone mentioned these merchants, that's how I found out.
But you need the mats (dust and essence) from green items, so you need to farm these anyway.

I have a question, could you theoretically level up Classic Enchanting (as long as you only have the 'Classic' version) by disenchanting the gear from the Cataclysm Legacy Vendor. I mean straight up disenchanting 300 pieces of gear.

No cataclysm gear gives cataclysm mats and skill, also disenchanting only gives skill up to 25 (for each expac)
