9.1 PTR Patch Notes Discussion [Twentified][NeedsUpdate]

wow, i am gonna try this out, it basically makes your holy light add 91 vers to your target, that is just insanely strong. so hpals can go a little heavy on haste but still reach 30% reduction easily after 1 holy light

Light’s Grace (PvP Talent) damage reduction granted to the target of your Holy Light is now 15% for 5 seconds and no longer stacks (was 5% damage reduction for 8 seconds, stacking 3 times) and now increases Flash of Light healing by 25% (was increases Holy Light healing by 50%).

The new hunter talents are interesting.

Consecutive concussion:
using steady shot 3 times on a concussed enemy stuns them for 4 sec.

I'd like to know the specifics of how and when it works, like if you need to fit 3 steady into a single conc shot
 
Druids are in a rough spot at 20 this go.

also note I LOST 2 main stat and 2 Stam in PTR, with no changes on gear tooltips


I know right? like resto still onyl gets to choose between 2 honour talents at 20 compared to everyone else rofl.
 
On the upside for druids, shifting those conc shots off just became more valuable.

good point, which makes me think if i should keep hallowed ground...i guess i will play 10~20 games and count how many holy light i can actually get off.
 
Regarding PVP Talents, it looks like Feral Wicked claws talent requires level 25. How does that work with BGs? Like if I'm "29" in a bg, can I select that talent?

I might have fucked up. if it says requires level 25 I don't believe it works the way you're thinking. I didn't completely vet all the new talents because i would have had to go back and forth from that talent calc and the blue post, and my post >.<

Oh, well that's a bummer but completely understandable from your side. I wouldn't have clicked around in all those PVP talents anyway. I was just hoping for some good news for my beloved Feral rather than just "Cool, I can shift conc shot and not get ROFL stomped AS bad as everybody else"
 
Y the fck paly can take pvp talent "ultimate retrobution" @lvl20 but aura of retrobution unlocks @lvl38?! What the hell? Tooltip bug or blizz doing it in their style again?
 
Druid (Balance):

Star Burst
- Starfall has a chance to call down collapsing stars that last 15 sec. Enemies that come into contact with a star cause it to burst, knocking nearby enemies upward and dealing (280% of Spell power) Arcane damage. Generates 0 Astral Power.

but the Skill Starfall unlocks at level 34

This is probably intentional there's a Fury warrior pvp talent available at 20 that is for when you use an ability twice in a row, and that ability gets two charges after lvl 20 (sorry I cant remember the name right now)
 
I submitted bugs for all the Druid pvp talents on ptr.

it’s downright silly that some pvp talents are available at 20 for higher level abilities , while other pvp talents for lower level abilities aren’t available until later.

it’s not a matter of balance, since endgame has access to all pvp talents anyway . It’s just poor game design imo.

report those PTR bugs (but it’s nothing new in 9.1)
 
Tranquilizing Darts PvP Talent
(Tank Specs?) – Row 1 PvP Talent
Requires Hunter
Requires level 20
Interrupting or removing effects with Tranquilizing Shot and [Muzzle][Counter Shot] releases 8 darts at nearby enemies, each reducing the duration of a beneficial Magic effect by 4 sec.

You fury warriors might find it hard to keep your deathwish+crusaders up during team fights or with pocket healers while fighting the millions of hunters out there.

Personally, I'm sticking with Explosive Trap or trying the new stun.
