Hello all!

Firstly thanks for all your feedback & suggestions... We have decided to change some things up for the event to try make it more engaging & less demanding on the commitment front. The initial idea of having it spread over a "Season" as you like is just not viable with TBC just round the corner etc. We have also researched some previous 3v3 tournaments and taken some ruleset's from there & tweaked them slightly.

- We have amended the event to be held over the space of a weekend instead of 6 weeks -
May 15th Group stages (Different Divisions with Top 2 teams going to finals)
May 16th Finals playoff bracket

- Amended the scoring system -

- Amended the list of restricted / allowed items (See the rule pack for more info) -

- Removed all tank classes from selection -

- Changed to Bo5, finals to Bo7 -

- One thing we have hit a stumbling block on is if we allow Comp changes between -
Map picks (Between map 1/2/3/4/5) or Series (After Bo5 is complete, but before next fixture)

- Please vote in the poll below and we will close voting on 9/5/2021 -

Hello all!

I'd love to take a minute to present to you all to a project I've been working on for a little while alongside a small team of experienced & long lasting twink's from all various brackets.

- European Servers only -
- Alliance or Horde -

- 3v3 / Bo5 / Points based League system -

- Played fortnightly (Every 2 weeks) on Sunday, Starting @ 15:00 Server Time -

- 1st Event - May 2nd 2021 -
- This will run for 12 weeks (6 events) until July 11th 2021 & then on July 27th will then split off into a Bo7 Winner & Loser's Bracket -

- The Ruleset we have created has been play tested on several occasions & believe this is the fairest way to run a league, rather than a 1 off event. Any feedback between now & sign up closure could influence a small change in the ruleset should we deem it suitable. Please understand this is a work in progress so some small changes may take place but will be announced on Discord before going live! -

- This has been created with inclusiveness, excitement and a fun competitiveness in mind, This is for your Arena glad's right down to the first timers, It's meant to be a bit of fun and bring something new to the bracket -

- Sign ups will open soon, so please Join the Discord here for updates & announcements -
(Please change your name to Main Toon Character)

- Please find the ruleset here & If you have any questions, please contact me or any of the Mods via discord:

Nice job.

Here comes the hate, I can feel it:
But, all this is an i49 party. They are too powerful especially in a limited capacity like 3s and need to be banned (along with the Bramble Staff). Then the rules BEGIN to make sense. You will automatically lose tons of people that won't even voice their opinions about it, they just won't play. There is nothing wrong with forcing people to get a Runeblade/i34, you will attract many more people.

Don't have it be lackluster RIGHT OFF THE BAT because you catered to a handful of players.

I mean, I don't think some people would like to change out their relics when the next big thing is an ilvl26. And people tend to overrate ilvl49s. My ilvl49s do 10-20 more sinister dmg than ilvl34.

Edit: Then again, I'm signing up as ret with rivendare.

Hi @JadeFire - Thanks for your feedback. We have play tested this and spent over 8 hours in discussions about the ilvl49/44 items. We decided that it was best to allow them. Here's our backing.

Anyone in the community who has these items, has most likely used and abused the "1 day free gametime" trick & will not have the facility to obtain a BoE item (Why would people pay for a months sub to play a small tournament), nor the artifact with relics (Should they not already own one) thus meaning we would be eliminating the small pocket of players that have these items, thus meaning that whichever way we approach it.. we will be "Attracting less players". We also discussed the Bramble staff situation & we believe, it has not been grandfathered, it is still obtainable (With a bit of effort) & being a twink is all about being the best you can be through the gear that is available to you.

Trust me - Don't think for 1 moment that probably the most "angry" topic that would have came out of this.. was not discussed. If you do, you'd be so wrong haha. I've put a lot of time into playtesting and stuff & this is where we got too :)

Love that logo! Kudos and good luck!!

Thanks @Sketchbag - Chameleon changes with the times & it's surroundings.. also represents how versatile it is to different situations. This is meant to reflect -

1. How versatile the 20's bracket is with all the different specs (Some stronger than other's I know.. but mostly all playable)
2. Transmorging and how it is a huge part of the 20's community :)

For rogues, i49 doesn’t matter.

for any class that uses top end (feral, warrior, surv) it’s an insane gap.

for any spell caster, it’s a 20+ int difference to current available items.

that said, I agree with them allowing it. Participation above all.

i49 is trash for arms warr tho, destiny the pog bis

Well when you get 2-3 shot in the 3s by a real arms warrior with a sader proc please post about it... because that's what's gonna happen.
a ''real'' arms warrior? xd

If you didnt know warrior doesnt scale much off wep dmg, more off strength, so having destiny is the ultimate best in slot atm for arms warriors as it has a higher uptime than crusader, so when i go in arena/bgs, i just have 179 strength extra up all the time

It's quite a fair point to address. The gap really isn't that small. There is a reason why heavy ilvl discrepancies has been banned in previous tournaments. The gap is also going to be bigger and bigger. The gap might not be "that big" in a 1 to 1 scenario (although I still believe it's quite noticeable, for some classes a lot more than others), but now imagine a scenario where a team has 3 ilvl 49 artifacts. The power gap is now much more substantial compared to the 1 to 1 comparison. Add ilvl 44 necks to that as well. It all starts adding up quite substantially.

Another thing to address is the overall use of GF'd items, outside of artifacts. What's the look on ilvl 59 helmets? 12 agi to cloak? AP to bracers? etc. etc.

I'm curious as to how the tests were conducted. There are quite a lot of factors in play. Comps and skill level being a huge part. Did you test with mirror comps? Were the players considered as close to equal as possible (experience)? I can also tell you with certainty that players who knows what they're doing will be able to push an advantage to limits that inexperienced players wouldn't even be able to comprehend. Being able to "extend that much more" or "live through that much more" is something experienced players will pick up rather quickly, and it's just a massive advantage in an otherwise equal matchup (comp and skill). I am 100% confident that if 2 teams knows wtf they're doing, the team with massive GF'd advantage will simply run circles around the other in a mirror matchup, which is one of the more obvious ways of assessment.

Now, this is your tournament, your show, so it should be run however you see fit. It'll be fun regardless. Fun being the keyword. Because if we were to have competition at the center, these points are extremely valid.

So it basically depends on what this is supposed to be. A "show your twink brawl (kind of powerplay)", or a "competitive tournament". You will never be able to have both.

There simply was a very good reason why past tournaments were as restrictive as they were. Even (almost especially) in the 20's bracket. Many points in the old formats has simply proven valid throughout the expansions.

If I was to entirely give my personal point of view as to how you could make a competitive environment, it would be to address the concerns made (look at past formats/rules and think about WHY they came to be), and set a reasonable date. What is meant by reasonable date? A reasonable date means that anyone who is interested will be given time to assess everything and modify, or create, a character that will fit the criteria of the tournament. This will be the only true way to have competition being the core value of a tournament.

Again, I will go back to my previous statement.
It basically all depends on what this is supposed to be. A "show your twink brawl (kind of powerplay)", or a "competitive tournament". You will never be able to have both.
