Tence's SL Hpally guide or "oh god not another xpac where he thinks hes a resto shaman"

Just adding to the crit haters thread.

Don't like sounding a bitter little bitch with a bag full of facts, but... we're gonna...

I would like to see what the build would mutate into having to come play on the horde side with limited FULL premades/high amount of random pub twinks to always have infront of you /heal.

I think there would be quick edits to the "you don't need HP if you have good positioning" nonsense. Fake casting is nice when there are only 1 or 2 horde to care about/can hurt you... flip that and fake casting honestly becomes so unimportant its comical regardless of your skill level.

Maybe I missed it in the mass amount of posts here...

why did you ditch Talisman of the Breaker?
why did you ditch Precious Bloodthorn Loop?

I see talisman being more useful in arenas, where you will be focused more, and where getting kicked is more impactful. In bgs you have more teammates and more potential for peels/cc.

For precious bloodthorn loop again, the extremely defensive playstyle that I outline makes it a lot easier to just speed horse out of range of a poly/fear/big cast (which you would otherwise vanish with the ring). It is a good unique option, I just feel utilizing positioning/los from the environment to be a better solution.

Really the most important factors are efficiency and being able to adapt to the situation at hand, and that also means being able to choose gear that's available for your accounts limitations and streamline it to work to your advantage.

If you are without access to items like the BRD cloth helm, our mana bars are one of the biggest challenges to overcome. One could make the case that +crit allows for greater mana efficiency. My alliance vet is going in this direction since I don't have an active subscription and I have a few pieces like Pulsating Brain of No'losh to leverage that +crit.

To further this discussion, I was disappointed to learn that the Fist of Stone from Maraudon doesn't proc (relieved to learn that it didn't work before I farmed one). Has anyone tested Price of Progress from Scholomance?

Price of progress does proc, the only issue is that in bgs as a healer you have 1845 mana (or more if you're a cool kid) and it only gives you 233 mana or 13% (vs 27% of the total mana outside of a bg). The proc chance is quite low and you sacrifice quite a lot of secondary/some primary stats. Its just as easy to break off and get a drink/klaxxi consumable back to full mana if you don't have the head. Fist of stone is different since you are essentially only sacrificing 7/10 verse and 1 int to gain 3 haste and the proc rather than 3 int and 10 haste (which is more of a loss imo) from the trinket.

I've never liked relying on rng and procs to heal. I like stacking stats that ALWAYS benefit myself. The reason I don't like crit is that when you DONT crit, its essentially providing no benefit. Over the course of an entire battleground this consistency adds up.

Haste also has the benefit of the scumbag healing strategy that I've outlined in the past. Mana is an issue, but knowing when to break off and drink/mana up is just as important as a skill as proper positioning and fake casting.

Is the 2h artifact viable for Hpal if I have both GF relics (ilv49)? Or does it lose out on too much armor to be as strong as a sword and board combo, even with GF relics?

The greatest problem with the OP's suggest build is that it doesn't allow for transmogs. It's a dealbreaker.

Also, don't forget Holy Paladins got a massive -30% mana regen nerf in instanced PvP! This makes https://www.wowhead.com/item=11808/circle-of-flame?bonus=6712 even more important than before.

Yep, sorry, was fixing that as you responded.

In legacy mode (if you can get it) having the legacy level toon log out allows you to solo and get 2 drops at level 20.

Even f2play can get that with a little help from the subbed community. ;)

edit- not a single piece of plate in the original post... kind of went without saying it's not a pure f2play no-helper deal.

The BRD cloth helm is an incredibly easy farm. You could probably source help in Goldshire if you're friendly. I was helping some random with it last night who turned out to be the son of an old friend

I would like to know this also, although reading GF I am probably too late to get these artifact relics (same as the love event ilvl 44 neck) and can have it max at ilvl 34, :(

Also, how on earth do you pvp as a healer without a pvp trinket? This xpac is stun city.

maybe he always group queues and steam rolls pugs like you?
