Shadowlands F2P Baseline Guide

Just some advice for anyone wanting to pursue Deep Sea Bag, you can use the Scrap-o-Matic 1000 / Shred-Master MK1 to scrap any cloth armor for more materials. Locations are here https://www.wowhead.com/guides/how-the-scrapper-in-battle-for-azeroth-works#faction-alliance. You need lvl 50 tailoring to craft the bag, but I would just make Tidespray Linen Bracers since they are so material efficient. Scrapping them will both profit you more Deep Sea Satin and refund some of your Tidespray Linen. The second level of the bag recipe at lvl 85 only reduces it by 2 satin and 1 linen so I don't think it's worth it.
Gobolord, resident professions expert!

Thank you

Are these enchantments still active when you forget the calligraphy?

Nope, you gotta keep it. It's inscription tho, and I do it last personally. :)

edit- pandaria leatherworking goes on legs and does stay when you forget the profession, I usually start with that one.

Good neck can drop from the Love is in the Air event boss for a F2P level 20 char. Here is screenshot from my panda:

May be nerfed in the future, though.

Choker of the Betrayer I think still unbeatable since only neckpiece with prismatic slot and give you ag/strength/int not just stam. (Actually who was that braindead person who came up with the idea, trinkets, rings, necklaces from now on only give u stam :D) One of the most annoying quest chains though but if you have some luck it scales up to epic (for +1 stam :D )

Also until u get Hexweave bag maybe u consider farming Halaani bag (since u don't need to spend 160-200 gold for the Traveler Bag and if you questing in Nagrand u get many crsytal for that bag and you cannot spend it for anything else).

As Kaxle suggested I think having the tailoring emporium and the blacksmith/jeweler is the easiest way to get hexweave bags. The blacksmith takes true iron ore, and the Jeweler takes black rock ore. Since you get both in equal parts from the mine, you can make work orders from one while stockpiling the other ore. This means you can always keep up max work orders per day while never stopping cloth production. Even still you will probably reach a point where sorcerous earth is the limiting factor, and that's when you switch out the tailor.

For medium building, I use the trading post as a way to spend my garrison resources on more work order mats. Especially for an initial ore stockpile.
The reason I don't use the barn is just because I found it pretty easy to farm 35 (for max work orders) sumptuous fur outside of Vol'jins pride in only like 10-15 min.

My experience with the LW building has been getting significantly more water than earth. Like suspiciously more. Anyone else noticing this, or am I just getting really unlucky?
I can say from the Eng Hut I believe I only get Earth and Fire.

I'd say im getting 1.5-2 waters to every 1 earth in the leather shack. However, Im getting exactly enough earths to make bags with the hexweave Im getting. So... thats fine by me.

hey all! I have been lurking around a few days. I'm interested in making a f2p character. I'm just confused about some things and hoping somone can help me out.
Im wondering where I should start once i hit 20 and have my artifact weapons.
I read that i should quest in the broken isles for relics and dungeons. My question is at what point do I do TBC dungeons for socket gear? Sorry if I sound like i have no idea what im doing lol truth is i don't but still alot of fun to learn! Really appreciate ANY advice you can give me! Thanks in advance

My process for getting a new F2P 20 online ASAP would look something like this:
  1. Level to 20 (get artifact and class hall upgrade in the process)
  2. Buy ilvl 28 gear from https://www.wowhead.com/npc=65171/alin-the-finder or https://www.wowhead.com/npc=62737/supplier-xin as placeholders
  3. Get 2x Artifact Relics by doing quests in legion to get your artifact to ilvl 31
  4. level WotLK enchaning using vendor fodder and enchant gear
That gets me to a "baseline" point, after which you can do the more time consuming things like farm for dungeon/socket gear, acquire gems for your sockets, level other professions, do the rest of the legion questlines for shots at upgraded relics, set up your garrison, etc etc etc. It really doesn't matter what order you do stuff in, just do whatever appeals the most to you first.

TBC should be done at 20 so the items that drop will be the appropriate level. Most all of your gearing will be at 20.

The artifact itself you can get ASAP but the relics you put into it also should be quested at level 20, for max ilevel. Both legion and WoD have a few things you should do before questing to increase the chance to get upgrades to your rewards.
