What are the requirements to use garrison blueprints ?

This is beyond comical now:

"Hey there XXXXXX, Game Master Chaneassan here today! We apologize for the delay in this response, as we're currently experiencing a high volume of world-wide contacts, while our teams are also making work adjustments to remain safe, in light of COVID-19. Thank you for reporting this as a bug. We have gotten multiple reports about by various people. While Customer Support can handle a ton of issues, one thing we're limited with are potential bugs, since we aren't able to fully investigate, verify, or manually fix the technical aspect of them. Has for your comment about bug reports not working. How it works is that when you report this as a bug, they may not receive replies but these are never overlooked. I know it seems that it can feel like your reports are lost in a sea of other reports, but there are actually people who monitor and review all reports made there, even if they don't directly reply. Once our Quality Assurance team receives the report, they can test the issue and attempt to recreate it. If they are able to replicate the bug and pinpoint the cause of it, they will send their information over to the Development team. From there, they can correct any issues within the code that need fixing, and then you'll see that reflected in patch notes or bug fix blog posts. I know this has been frustrating, but I hope this information helps. May you otherwise have a good week and take care."

My latest response:

Chaneassan

You still have a problem.

OK, you've outlined what happens when someone reports a bug - but you've not read what I have said.

It's not that I have not had a response to a bug report that I have reported.

It is that it is not actually possible to report a bug!!!

Every response to me has wasted your time because you have not understood the fundamental issue here.

YOUR BUG REPORTING SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK.

It is not possible for me (& I guess anyone in Europe), to communicate with you to say "This Is A Bug".

Looking at the screen grab will help you begin to understand.

This is not frustrating, this is lunacy.

Let's try it another way.

What would I have to say to you, for you to look at the screen grab and respond like this: "I see we're sending you to the US-forum when we need to send you to the EU one where your account's based. We'll fix that."?

----------------------------------------

Has anyone in the EU reported a bug, without a US account, or is it just me that gets kicked there?

I feel invested in this now...

I'm on EU, I report bugs in game, never used the US bug forum. If I want an issue/bug to gain more visibility, I post it on the forum EU / Customer Support

[doublepost=1610395172,1610394722][/doublepost]"Hey there XXXXXX! Game Master Ramrukhasa checking in with you today. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us, I hope this message finds you well. All we can address from here is what has been previously stated. We here in Customer Support are unable to address or otherwise resolve bugs in game as we are not developers and therefore not the ones that make changes in game. If you would like to see changes for this, or anything else in the game made, while they may not be immediate as we would have no way to know that as again we are not developers, going through the paths in which we have provided are the best ways to do so. To touch on how to submit a bug again, I've grabbed this information for you: - If you choose the “Report Bug” option on the help menu, that will send your report directly to QA for investigation. This is better for shorter reports that don’t require *too* much detail. - Bug reports can also be submitted on the Bug Report Forum. This is a good option if you have a longer report to submit, want to attach screenshots/links, or add onto reports that others have submitted. Here's the link for the Battle for Azeroth Bug Report forum: https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/support/bug-report We truly do want the game to be an enjoyable and fun experience for everyone that plays. We also want every voice to be heard, and to ensure that happens we must ask that the proper channels are taken in order to get that voice to the ones that can hear and make the changes you and others are requesting. While I know this was not the answer you were seeking, I do hope this information helps shed some light on the situation. If there are ever any other questions or concerns that you have for us, please don't hesitate to let us know! We're always more than happy to do what we can to help. In the meantime, I hope the rest of your day goes well, and nothing holds you back from having the absolutely epic experience you deserve!"

Hi Ramrukhasa

I feel we are getting so close to one of you actually reading what I write and really trying to understand it.

You wrote: "- If you choose the “Report Bug” option on the help menu, that will send your report directly to QA for investigation. This is better for shorter reports that don’t require *too* much detail." Once more - that bit does not work. It takes me to a US forum.

Now with the new link - I really thought we were going to get somewhere.

You said:

"- Bug reports can also be submitted on the Bug Report Forum. This is a good option if you have a longer report to submit, want to attach screenshots/links, or add onto reports that others have submitted.

Here's the link for the Battle for Azeroth Bug Report forum: https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/support/bug-report"

Unfortunately your new link takes me to the screen which I have uploaded a screenshot of. 404 Error.

(Chrome, Firefox & MS Edge Tested - it's you not me!)

I feel we are so close to getting somewhere after all this time.

I can't be the only person on EU servers who is unable to do this and has bothered to tell you about it. This is like fighting fog!

I look forward to hearing from you.

If we weren't furloughed & on lockdown I'd not bother, but this is my new hobby horse now.

404 Error Screen.jpg

Thank you - could you post a link please?
So, for me ingame report works well (Escape > Support > Submit feedback or bug report > Enter the description of the bug and hit Submit

I usually go there to post things: https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/support/10/l/latest
Tho you don't have devs here, and CMs don't relay bug issues to devs. Tho they can tell you if devs know about it, if it's being investigated, if there is a main thread where it would be better to post your comment so that reports on a same issue are regrouped. Tho, it always ends up with "submit the bug ingame".
In a way, the forums are more there to raise awareness about bugs so that more players report them in game

Thanks - I have been able to post in that forum.

Tech Support At Last.jpg

I'll update if I get any resolution - sorry this thread is wildly off topic now.

TLDR:
  1. Garrisons old content so probably stuck as they are now.
  2. EU Bug Reporting suffering intermittent faults in-game & in-forum.
  3. GMs' literacy questionable.
  4. UK lockdown affecting sanity of furloughed population.
[doublepost=1610450934,1610450697][/doublepost]
You have some special kind of patience.

Boredom/Altruism/Procrastination. Ratios varies.

Should probably do my tax return now. :-(

"Xyphibennu here with you this evening Apologies for the delay getting back to you, it's pretty busy here recently as you can imagine That link is 404 because there is no Bug Report forum section on the EU here, so that link is incorrect. How it should work Ingame: Click the red ? mark on your action bars to open the Game Menu, go to Support at the top, and in that new screen you'll see "Submit feedback or bug report" as the 2nd picture under the search bar, it's Anub'arak. Clicking that should take you to a screen to either Submit a Bug, or Submit a Suggestion. That ingame screen shouldn't redirect you to the US Forums, as you'd need a US WoW account and characters to post there. As for the report itself and those Tokens, we've passed that onto the WoW team to get looked into, sadly no workaround for these in the meantime but keep a look out for Hotfix/Patch notes on the site. Hope your staying safe out there and all the best for the weeks ahead."

Hi Xyphibennu

OK, let's drop the Tokens issue - your colleagues eventually answered that part & now it's a distraction.

Here's the problem, which I've explained seven times now & each person who responds has failed to read what I have written. So let's really focus on this now.

YOU SAY:

How it should work Ingame:
Click the red ? mark on your action bars to open the Game Menu, go to Support at the top, and in that new screen you'll see "Submit feedback or bug report" as the 2nd picture under the search bar, it's Anub'arak.
Clicking that should take you to a screen to either Submit a Bug, or Submit a Suggestion.

That ingame screen shouldn't redirect you to the US Forums, as you'd need a US WoW account and characters to post there.

I DO THAT (It's pretty simple let's face it) BUT IT DOES NOT "take you to a screen to either Submit a Bug, or Submit a Suggestion."

IT DOES REDIRECT ME "to the US Forums,"

And that is what you have yet to address. You've come close, but we're not there yet.

Bug reporting does not behave as it should.

How do we get you to:

1. Acknowledge that?
2. Commit to doing something about it?

I look forward to hearing from you.

--------------------------

I can feel myself turning in to James Veitch now.

Any reason you haven't attached the screenshots you uploaded here? If they can see that bug report and suggest an idea do not exist for you with their own eyes they can at least be better about escalating the issue. I remember once having to upload a youtube video of me trying and failing to remove my Experience Eliminated buff before I finally reached a GM who understood what I was saying and fixed the issue.

Any reason you haven't attached the screenshots you uploaded here

I have been uploading the screenshots every time - I didn't on this most recent occasion. (Not sure whether to assume they can or want to look back through the conversation.)

I'm at the stage now that they have actually spotted the problem, it's just that they seem to be in denial:

"That ingame screen shouldn't redirect you to the US Forums, as you'd need a US WoW account and characters to post there."

But you're right, so yet again I've just added these two with the comment: "I've uploaded the screenshots again, to show you that what you say should not be happening IS HAPPENING!"

Bug Report About Bug Reporting Bug - 06.jpg Bug Report About Bug Reporting Bug - 07.jpg

I've done my tax return now, so I'm just finding the bus ride through crazy town entertaining. (Also currently reading The Psychology of Stupidity - free digital library loan. Not decided if it's me that's stupid yet...)

Not sure now if I care about their bug reporting not working any more than they seem to. I'm just interested how long they can keep this up.

Maybe I need to get out more....Oh.

Well, for them to fix a bug, they need to ba able to reproduce it, so that they can understand it.
None of my accounts has any similar issue with bug report in game. It might be a specific issue with your game, because I don't find other people with same issue when clicking on the "Submit feedback or bug report" button.
By any chance (if not already done) try without having any addon on that might for whatever reason disturb the support UI.

The only way i access to that screen that redirects to the forum is by:
Contact Support > In-Game Issues > Quests and Achievements > Report a Bug
Contact Support > In-Game Issues > Technical Issue > Report a Bug
Otherwise, can't get to that screen from the first support screen

"Hello XXXXX,

I'm Specialist Game Master Asmoranom and I received your follow up ticket about both being unable to upgrade your followers as well as not being able to report the issue as a bug in-game.

I completely understand the frustration of being unable to use those weapon and armor Enhancement Tokens as well as the frustration of being told to report a bug and, essentially, not being able to do so. There's a few things going on here. First, if you'll notice, the URL you are being redirected to is the US site and you play in the EU region. Unless you have a character level 10+ on an active US WoW account, you would not be able to post on those forums. The most likely cause for this is that you're logged into the US region of the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop Application. To address this, please log completely out of the game and app and then make sure you're logging into the EU region of the app.

Which brings us to the next hurdle, if you will. Your account does not have active game time, which is required to post on the forums in any region, save for the Support and Technical forums. If you are still unable to report the bug while on the EU forums site, this would be why.

Finally, you absolutely *can* submit a bug report in-game without being redirected to the forums. However, based on the screenshot you provided, it seems like there may be some interface issues going on. If you're unable to post on the forums as is, I recommend fully resetting the WoW User Interface and trying the in-game bug report again:
I) Exit the game.
II) Uninstall any addon managers you may use
III) In the Blizzard Battle.net desktop app, click Options and select Show in Explorer (Windows) or Reveal in Finder (Mac).
IV) Open the World of Warcraft folder.
V) For Battle for Azeroth, open the _retail_ folder. For Classic, open the _classic_ folder.
VI) Delete the Cache, Interface and WTF folders
VII) Scan & Repair [http://us.battle.net/support/article/6572] World of Warcraft

As my colleagues have explained, we have received reports of these follower tokens not functioning, but Customer Support is unable to directly assist with forcing them to work as we neither write nor correct existing code in the gmae.

I understand that this may not be the answer you were hoping for, but I am glad to explain our scope of support on this. Have a great day, and, of course, if you need other assistance, don't hesitate to reach back out to us."

------------------------------------------
Hi Asmoranom

Thanks for your response which does reflect that you've read what I wrote.

So to address the points that you raise - I've done everything that you said, which has taken me about 45 minutes. Here's the latest:

- "Armor Enhancement Tokens..."
* I'm so over this being an issue. I get it - I'm now way more frustrated that you all keep mentioning them now than the fact that it doesn't work...

- "the URL you are being redirected to is the US site and you play in the EU region... The most likely cause for this is that you're logged into the US region of the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop Application."
* Except I checked & I'm not - Screenshot attached (BattleNet EU.jpg) showing "Connected to: Europe". BUT I logged out & back in again as you suggested - zero effect. I am quite definitely (despite Brexit) connected to Europe.

- "Your account does not have active game time..."
* Agreed - & my number one guess as to why ultimately in-game Bug Reporting is not working for me, except - I can't even get to those forums & the in-game links to your US bug reporting forums.

- "Finally, I recommend fully resetting the WoW User Interface and trying the in-game bug report again:"
* Did all that. Zero Change! Latest screen grab attached: 18 Jan Not Fixed.jpg

So in summary, I've done everything that you've suggested (beyond getting a subscription) and I am still no further forward. In-Game Bug Reporting does not work and it attempts to send me to a US bug-report forum: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/support/bug-report/17

Your move.

At this point I don't think the GMs can help him, and he's not far off from a "We consider this closed, and trying to open more tickets on the subject will get your account actioned".

They've acknowledged that his client has something buggy going on with its report function, that from Brihan we hear is not a universal issue with the EU client. Going to the EU tech support/bug report forums manually is likely his best bet.

Level 3 garrisons are required for level 3 buildings, and those are locked behind level 40 characters. Obviously not going to happen on a 20.

Medium and large buildings had a short period where you could earn the level 2 blueprints on a 20 (by earning items for completing the gorgrond and talador outpost questlines and then exchanging them for blueprints), but those got caught in what's likely the same bug that kicked off this thread. (Basically lots of items having nonsensical and undocumented minimum levels to use, often based on the zone they came from.) You might be able to have a GM let you learn the plan if you have the blueprint in your bag, since it is a known bug.

god damn you're an asshole to those GMs. No wonder they arent helping you.

I value your opinion & experience as an altruistic person who has also shared frustrations here & I've paused for thought. (This would not be the first time my life has been a warning to others - skateboarding when it's not the seventies any more is a good example.)

It's taken me >8 attempts now to have them respond in any coherent way to variations on: "There seems to be a bug with your bug reporting.". I've not shared everything here - just my increasing frustration.

Maybe repeated lockdowns are sending many of us around the world doolally in different ways.

My thinking is, if I'm getting a problem, others might also be getting a problem & many (perhaps more sane) people might give up trying to report it. Sharing here might either fix what I'm doing wrong or encourage others to chime in. Also, if there was a bug with bug reporting in my business, I'd be pleased if someone took pains to give me a heads-up. However I can't think of a time when providing client support required my team to adopt a persona a la: "A bold knight gallops forward on a fiery steed - behold it is the brave and bold GM Sir Pository." as a precursor to tech support but, as I suggested, I've made many poor life choices.

In light of your observation, I've added a simple plea to just help me to help them & reined back the sarcasm which on reflection does not always help international relations - I'll avoid posting again until I get a resolution as even I'm bored now.

Stay safe. Be excellent to each other.
[doublepost=1611082800,1611070112][/doublepost]AND FINALLY...we have an answer.
TLDR: Small text can be hard to read & large text, not so much.

In related news, life's too short...move on.

You must be bored...

After adding briefly to my now lengthy ticket/saga I logged in about an hour ago & a message popped up requesting an In-Game GM chat. What transpired was an adult conversation (albeit typed) with someone able to move beyond pantomime customer-care-speak. Not the usually GM conversational style - I think I'd been escalated. A delight!

(Let's assume it was Chops' comment on the sarcastic style I'd lapsed in to & my subsequent plea tacked onto my ticket that made the difference - take a Brownie Point, or whatever the Soccer-Dad equivalent would be. Manly slap on the back perhaps.)

Between us it took about 2 minutes to work out what the* problem was, & it hinges around what we all see when we look at a screen, whether it's one you created, work with or are visiting for the first or thousandth time.

(* I typed "my" problem first off, but read on.)

Here's where the problems start, or finish:

Bug Report Saga - Final.jpg

What you see depends on many things, but for me, it's an age thing. Same but annotated screen shot illustrates what I mean:

Bug Report Saga - Final 2.jpg

If your eyesight's good & your screen's large enough, you will see what I've put in box A, which if you click on it takes you straight to an in-game box where you can fill in a Bug Report. That's what previous GMs, and people here, had been trying to point out - it works fine if that's where you click.

What I see is the contents of Box B.

Box A by comparison is tiny - & not worth bothering to take a closer look at since what's in box B seems to be what I need.

Try it out. If you're in Europe (which I'm not sure I am any more since Brexit) you'll eventually get to an In-Game Bug Reporting screen which takes you to a US site where you can't post without a US account - even if it were a relevant page. Yep - there's a second forgotten but broken path to bug-reporting.

So what?
  • If you are trained in web design then you probably have experience of the many challenges around accessibility. Clicking where I chose was down to eye movement across a page, size of font, colours, & above all seeing what appeared to be what I wanted. Stuff I know about but am an amateur in catering for. This was an interesting learning point from that perspective.
  • Yeah - everything starts to fail eventually - I managed to last into a fifth decade before it happened to me. You think it won't, but it will. That makes small fonts hard to read. Despite arthritis, deafness & surfers' ear, all from a previous career choice, I don't consider myself disabled or old. Feck that - as long as I can still paddle in to a decent swell I'm not old.
Lessons:
  • Two things can be true.
  • Persistence pays off.*
  • Small text can be hard to read & large text, not so much.
  • Be excellent to each other.
* & The final result is that I had a very pleasant, if typed (& my typing's appalling) in game chat with a very appreciative GM. (I suspect a proper tech support person sent in to deal with this nutter.) We spent about 20 minutes making sure he or she had enough information from what I typed in to create a report that adequately address the broken links & issues around the support page for those with less than perfect eyesight. (Also how they had made large changes to ensure their staff were safe given COVID-19.) They were really grateful for my persistence & willingness to help - so much so that un-asked-for I now have a very large chunk of game-time as a thank you. So glad I've finished my tax-return.

The blue print vendor says Barn Level 2 Requires Spires of Arak Output Questline or lvl35.
To unlock the quest, i accepted and finished the 'News from Spires of Arak'. Next, I'm supposed to start 'Arakkoa Exodus'. But the garrison board only offers unrelated quests from old world/pandaria/legion that I've never done.

Opening the adventure guide i can only see PvP/dungeon offered

Exactly how should i unlock the questline for level 2 barn?

No but yes but no.

First, I'm surprised you managed to get any quest that sent you to Arak, since it's a higher level zone than you should be able to handle. You can't complete the zone with your level cap of 20, so you can't buy anything locked behind related achievements.

Second, you can get booklets from completing the outpost questlines in Gorgrond and Talador that give you books that can be exchanged for blueprints in your Ashran capitol.

Third, due to a bug the blueprints bought in Ashran can't be used. Maybe if you ask a GM they can be applied, but otherwise they have a phantom level limit that makes them worthless.

Also noteworthy is that even if the bug weren't present, Barn level 2 wouldn't be all that exciting. You could apply a follower if you rerolled to the relevant trait and have more work order capacity, but the building benefit to the level 2 barn is that they can also make feasts which would require a level higher than yours. Level three might be nice, but since that's locked behind level three garrison it isn't really a factor.

Well, I thought I'd try and sneak some GM help prior to 9.05 which could stuff Garrisons once and for all with level limits. Tried to get them to allow me to learn the Bunker lvl 2 plans......

Greetings!

Game Master ......... here, I hope you're doing well :)

We always appreciate players who are sending us feedbacks to help us improve World of Warcraft.

In fact, you character is too low level to learn this blueprint. With the level squish from Shadlowlands expansion release, things have changed a little bit.

You can see new requirements here: https://www.wowhead.com/news=318631...ilding-level-changes-in-shadowlands-pre-patch

For Large building Lvl 2 Blueprints (like the Dwarven Bunker Lvl2), you need to reach level 35 with your character.

Take care out there, and I really wish you all the best with your ventures!

Firstly, response came from EU? That makes sense given I'm Oceanic.....:FrogeConcern:

Secondly, I see the following on PTR.....
upload_2021-3-7_16-57-3.png

Garrison vendor version requires Nagrand Outpost or lvl 40, but it actually says requires lvl 20. I would have thought if it requires 20, if you had a copy you should be able to learn it...... right.......? Wrong..... :PepeHands:
The one you can get from Ashran says it requires lvl 40....
upload_2021-3-7_16-58-56.png

And the GM says I need 35...... all makes sense right? :NotLikeThis:

Well, sadly, no more lvl 2 Dwarven Bunkers and hence an no easy way to make follower ilvl items (I guess you can score an invite to a lvl 3 Garrison everytime you make enough coin)
I was lucky to have it on my Hunter early on, but spewing that I can't get it for my DK..... gonna make the process excruciatingly long...
Well, if you ain't got it, you ain't gonna get it :mad:

@icehawk At least there's a page with hard data on Level requirements For Garrisons now (yes I see Comments from October but I never found that page until going to it via your Link) instead of just "You're too low Level for that item" constantly and wondering wtf.
