only 1 MoH? :(

Is there any other way to get mark of honor than crate of battlefield goods?
There îs a table mission from the legion order hall, Battle Report, that Will pop up if you have at least 1 follower at ilvl 850... You need to reach the 200% bonus chance to get 1 Mark.... The rate of mission appearing seems to be medium rare, up to 2 weeks, depending on the toon... Some ppl report they never got the mission, I got Lucky an got it twice în a month on my Main monk.

How many fel iron or adamantite ore should I farm before I abandon mining for jewelcrafting?????? (for steady talasites and +3 agi gems)

Edit: Do you always get +1 skill point in Outland Jewelcrafting when prospecting Fel Iron or Adamantite?

Lots. But not as many as you may think.

It depends how lucky you fell & how many you want.

I was disappointed with my first return on investment (couldn't tell you what the results on that one were). [Edit: Now mined 1000 Adamantite Ore & prospecting it counted the following results:

Dawnstone - 13
Living Ruby - 7
Nightseye - 8
Noble Topaz - 5
Star of Elune - 9
Talasite - 4

Azure Moonstone - 42
Blood Garnet - 39
Deep Peridot - 34
Flame Spessarite - 31
Golden Draenite - 30
Shadow Draenite - 40

While you're mining Adamantite Deposit, you may pick up Talasite straight away - you'll also come across the occasional Rich one or a Khorium Deposit, which seems to yield a higher chance of a Talasite. I got three now this way, not included in prospecting results above.

RE skill points, it depends what level you are - you have to get there first but it doesn't last like any profession.

I wouldn't worry about that. I've been jumping between Mining/Jewelcrafting & subject to having bought enough of the vendor recipes it's not been a problem to regain the level/s I've needed to craft what I want since you'll gain the levels quickly enough from a careful use of the gems you've prospected on previous swaps plus the prospecting you'll do this time around.

Interested what results you or anyone get, but as ever it's RNG. (Pouring a circle of salt around your office chair and keeping your fingers crossed just on your left hand helps.)

it may be contingent on the quest item itself? That makes sense though because I had the dragon bone quest and so had to loot it off a dragon in a 25 zone. Which means you should be able to complete a couple of the dailies. Thats good news! Its just a waiting game at that point.

Can confirm, the WOTLK Jewelcrafting daily quest items are only usable if you get them from a level 20 zone. Seems to suffer from the same bug discussed earlier in this thread. From what I see on Wowhead, all six of the Dailies should be doable.
  • Proto Dragon Bones are dropped by Primordial Drakes in Sholazar and some in howling fjord.
  • Elemental Armor Scraps from basically any elemental you can find.
  • Scourge Curios from any undead.
  • Iron dwarf Brooches from iron dwarves.
  • Vrykul Amulets from uh, Vrykul.
  • Northern Ivory from mammoths or shoveltusks.
Also, the drop rates shown on Wowhead are waaaaaay too low. I've done four dailies so far and the items have all dropped on the first or second eligible mob.

Or you can do what I did and just pick one of the ogre caves in the middle of nagrand and just sit in it for a couple days farming ogres and mining nodes. But Im not sure if thats 500 IQ or -500 IQ.

Warmaul hill in Nagrand in the top-left at approximately 27,22 has two caves you can go between to farm adamantite. The respawn rate is high enough two nodes would respawn in the other cave just as I finished one. I was getting almost 200 ore an hour when I wasn't queuing dungeons.

Andre put 2k in the original post and that seems like a safe bet to me. I prospected around 1600-1700 ore and ended up with 24 talasite. Idk if prospecting always gives a skill-up, but you'll get enough random gems that getting to 50 should be easy if you hold onto your primal earth for Mercurial Adamantite. Also, don't prospect all your ore at once, you may need a few adamantite bars to make jewelry for your last few levels.

Outland mining is so slow. There are not many nodes :(

Do we have an alternative +3 agi gem in another expansion's jc?

Yeah farming fel iron is a bit of a pain but you don't need 2k of it, you just need enough to get your JC to 25 then you can switch to adamantite which I found much more satisfying.

Yeah there's also 3 agi gem in wotlk vendor but finding a node in wotlk is as hard as tbc... Ran arounjd for half an hour and only got 21 cobalt ores (to do wotlk jc daily)

Try using gathermate2 its an addon that shows all the possible node spawns on the map and minimap. It helps to make routing more efficient, you'd be surprised how many nodes you just walk right by.
To be clear the addon doesn't show actual nodes, just the spawns so it's easier to check.

Edit: there are Delicate Ornate Rubies (+3 agi) available at your faction city. @Jonjonho

don’t need the quest, just gotta be present when the event is completed and have necessary shards.

Getting there can be accomplished via all the usual f2p tricks. A little parkour on the far right edge of the map if you don’t have the cannon. Straight over if you do.

Thanks. I got in to the landing, got the apex shards... what is the event tho... you stand by that generator and fight off a bunch of waves of elites and try save those alliance guys working on the generator?

2) does the event start randomly or via the clock? is another player triggering it

3) How long is the event?

4) does the shop guy spawn IF you win the event?
