High Resistances at 19? Math plz.

Your Mom

Legend
Darkmoon fortune buffs are available.. Ive chosen to do some testing with the resistance buff with the addition of the 25 resistance potion.

Does anyone have any math or information on resist chances? I should be sitting at 60-70 resistance at 19.

Lol u sound big dumb. Dots are whatever, you care about resisting Cc. Reeeee. Obviously your name is fitting to reality.

oh yeah i forgot its disgusting 2 button 19s

You should have a priest to dispel sheep from mages and warlock fear anyway

That buff from medics takes care of any sheeps aswell

wow fire mages and frost mages do big dmg

you are talking big for an amerimutt kid

I dont play 19. Just pointing out how dumb your contribution (or lack there of) to this thread was.
[doublepost=1591653275,1591653213][/doublepost]The only reason to want resist at all is for cc

For each 5 points resistance, you gain 3.75% extra chance to resist upto a lvl 19 cap of 70.57% resistance which has slight variance depending on the type of school.
Resistance also plays a roll on preventing damage from Lifestealing / Fiery procs + also reducing the length of CC, E.G. Arcane Resist reduces the length you will be caught in a sheep CC and Nature Resistance the same for Roots/Nature's Grasp.

Resistance is pretty huge and is very much worth it, if you can predict what kind of comp you play against you can counter against that with resistances.

I did some testing at 65 for most of my resistances.. and it really upset the enemy casters.. I had a priest just spamming on me and failing to hit many times.. then he just started teabagging the air and emote laughing.

Chance to resist a binary spell in percentage (fear, sheep, etc.) should be Resistance * 0.75 for Level 19.

In Frostresi gear with 30 resistance I annoy mages a lot :)

Im loving it.. As long as its not a melee heavy or hunter heavy lobby though Id love it anyways.. I really wish I could have two arctic bucklers so I could have one for frost resist.

God I love 19s. 12 years later we're still running our fucking mouths like we're in high school again.

As for the math, 3/4ths of your resist is about accurate in my experience.

I have a pair of Shadow and Arcane rings for games where enemy Poly or Fear is particularly annoying.

Thats freaking awesome! XD and a lil trolly to them.. Love it!

I managed to get my 19 Mages shadow res over 100, and it does indeed translate to somewhere between 65-75% resist rate on average for enemy priest/warlock fears.

Very nice! I noticed in my testing that mages especially had a very hard time sheeping or frost bolting me and it was so satisfying.. Im gonna pick up some arcane resist rings soon for my shaman I think. I get sheeped way too often and Id love to troll them a little when Darkmoon faire comes back! XD
