Blood Knight Tabard can I mog it on a 20?

I just followed the instructions of the first post in Wowhead and bought it on my 120 Draenei Paladin.
It was red in the vendor UI and wasn't added to my 'mog collection.

Looks like it requires level 58 like a handful of other tabards.

I mean, yeah blood elves weren't released until TBC the way I worded that was stupid.

Vanilla in the sense that it requires a level lower than 60 to obtain. Surprised this isn't moggable @ lvl 1, I stand corrected.
Yea, theres a lot of really weird shit in the margins on vanilla/tbc xmogs. For instance, the "requires level 58" stuff that you can get in BC doesnt count as moggable for low levels, even though it requires less than 60. Even if it shares a look with vanilla gear. you have to get the specific vanilla piece.

but then like, something like Mallet of Zul'Farrak got grandfathered for low levels because a high level piece got the design... and despite me having the mallet, the whole look is unavailable.

Fucking weird.

The fact that Tabards have a level requirement (especially if you can get the rep on your twink) is dumb.
It's a blessing and a curse because sure it limits transmog opportunity on alts but it's a real head turner if you have Wrath and/or Cata tabards on your toon. They randomly change level reqs sometimes though like they did with the Mop tabards, so I wont be surprised when they make a huge bulk of tabards transmoggable @ lvl 1 in SL probably.

Wait, can we not wear our mop tabards @ level 1 anymore? I haven’t hovered over those in quite awhile. I normally wear https://www.wowhead.com/item=43156/tabard-of-the-wyrmrest-accord for the dragon icon :p

originally the blood knight tabard was a reward for lvl 60+ blood elf paladins who did the epic mount quest, and was changed after cata so it can still be obtained, so it can be speculated about that being the reason the mog level doesn't follow vanilla guidelines.

Exactly the kind of Information I was looking for. Thank you very much.

There used to be some "clever use of game mechanics" that let you get the tabard as an alliance paladin, sadly I don't remember how it was done but it might be possible to do as a level 20?

Yea, I only have a lvl 20 Blood elven Paladin but that Tabard is REALLY nice!

Now leveling a Paladin and then getting the Tabard and then explotiting it on my 20 and finally running around with a big sign saying " Look at: me I exploiting a Tabard on my Chest.... Pls don't ban me.. "

But thanks for the info! :)

Pretty sure u can only get banned if you use an exploit to gain an advantage

"cheats; i.e. methods not expressly authorized by Blizzard, influencing and/or facilitating the gameplay, including exploits of any in-game bugs, and thereby granting you and/or any other user an advantage over other players not using such methods;" -Blizzard End User License Agreement

If cosmetic exploits were bannable I would have been gone like 8 years ago
