Best 39 Hunter Pet (Critical)

So what is the best Hunter pet pvp wise for this bracket since you can't level up pets afterwards as you would gain to much exp.

Aside from Broken tooth of course.

Akira wind serpent?
Plain Boar?

Or even a Spider for netting melee?

I Currently have a pig as it is rather OP for leveling world/pvp at lvl 14.
I also went and tamed "The Rake" all though I would get Broken tooth if i was going to pvp with a cat.

What do you guys think? I was leaning towards having a Serpent max lvl and probably BT with a PIG if Exp allows it.

Anything besides a boar is kinda silly. I have BT as well but without charge using her feels gimped. I do think your idea about spiders could be explored more, I don't remember specifics on that spell, or if spiders get dash. But overall since you have to pick one, boar is it. I grabbed the Raging one from RFK, looks awesome.

No way get bellygrub hes the coolest mofo around, i second boar you dont even use him for damage keep him by you and use him for the charge/stun

Dude, Bellygrub looks like every other brown boar. Or you could have this dope cy-boar, who can argue that it's not the most bad ass beast out there?

Nah bellygrub for prez :) that cy-boar is pretty cool looking but me and bellgurb are boys from way back hahah ( 29 hunter days ) ill have to use him on my 39 just because.

IMO you should, best DPS/pushback/status pet in the game if you ever decide that matters. But I'd recommend getting it as soon as you ding 37 cuz it may take a few days (or weeks) to catch him, not that rare just that camped. Sitting around waiting for it can rack up quite a bit of rested XP which your pets do NOT benefit from and you don't want any of that when you hit 39 if you want more than one pet and comfortable breathing room on your XP bar, or for anything else left to get.

Worst case first thing as you hit 38. Pets take between 5-6 bars of your unrested XP per level for them. Get's hairy at 39.

If you want 3 at best friend, that is. Regardless get whatever pets as soon as you're their level, after-leveling sucks hard.

edit- to clarify, getting 3 pets to your current level from previous level is 3/4 of your entire XP bar - no quests, no rested.

I'm too paranoid about getting any extra XP. Leveling one pet unrested and doing the Mark of Chosen quest put me at 29k/86k. It also would mean that after dinging 39 you would need to immediately grind out half a level from just killing mobs all at once to avoid rested XP. Between those two factors and the fact that you can't switch pets dynamically I don't really see the point in getting more than one to 39.

Pushback on casters has surprisingly limited use imo. Most casters will only use fast cast spells and usually have inti-pushback talents or bubbles. Also, boar charge buffs it's next attack which gives you a more burst potential.

But hey, some people seem to want any pet besides Boar, and there's really no persuading them. I've definitely said my peace on the subject from 19s - 39s lol.

Pretty much need to have all your gear sorted, explored all the places you need for wpvp at 39 do all the things that require xp long b4 you even think of hitting 39. Like he says by 38 if you want multiple pets they all need to be 38 by this stage so when you ding 39 you can get all 3 to 39 and about 1/4 of your xp bar as a buffer. Keep in mind if you want to get Mark of the chosen that takes roughly 4/5 bars to get ( not really needed on a hunter but its nice )

I have like 5 bars left on my Shammy, not even a little worried thats thousands of xp youd have to do something pretty dumb to get that much xp without noticing

I like to have plenty of room for future item changes and what not. I didn't proof my character for BC for instance, so this way I can still do a quest chain or two. You can definitely do multiple 39 pets though no doubt.

Yea i really wish i had gotten a few different bits on my shammy but thats all good, if BC does come out ill lvl him to 49 and make a new shammy
[doublepost=1578965040,1578964011][/doublepost]did you get skilled riding gloves for your hunter? ima prob go with those for mine aye 6sta 10int 6agl - Wish i had gotten these and the encarmine boots for the sham. haha man Hijacked this guys thread hard out, sorry OP :)

as a frost mage I sincerely hate cats and they fuck my ass when trying to actually cast a damagin frostbolt or poly something but boar is similiar and id say offers better shit vs everyone else.

I did not actually get them no. They are super good but being that they are cloth and the bonus NR on Arachnids, along with SV talents boosting Agi/Stam I decided do go with the RFD mitts.
