BIS Offense Shaman?

I want to make an offensive shaman as my next 19, but still deciding on a couple pieces. Right now I'm valuing Int highest up until ~1500 mana then Stam/Strength fairly equally, and largely ignoring Agility because I'm of the understanding that the +crit is negligible.

This is the Gear Set I've saved to keep as a reference: Gear Set

Main decisions I'm unsure of include:
- Taking TBJ & Gorilla legs over Defias & Fang
- Fire Damage +20 instead of +15 AGI on Gloves
- Reward choice from Gerenzo Wrenchwhistle quest: Engi Cloak or Draftsman Boots

and most importantly:
What my highest damage output weapon swap will be since I'll swap after I use the 26 int worth of mana from Evo Blade. I'm leaning towards Assassin's with Fiery enchant if I stick with +20 Fire on gloves; otherwise maybe Razor's Edge, Twisted Chanter's, or? Any suggestions/arguments are welcome.

15 agi doesnt do very much. 7 str would be better.

Skeletal club is always a solid choice for a crusader set. Assass and RE are pretty fast weapons.

What are your thoughts on +20 Fire vs +7 Str once AQ drops? Kinda irrelevant for now tbf.

I don't know the math, is it just simply better to have a slower weapon for Flametongue? Appreciate the help.

Id say fire is still the way to go. Crusader should give you all the ap you need.

Engi Cloak > Draftsman, use 4/4 bear boots or grizzled.

Personally I think Deadskull is incredibly overrated for Shaman. Use Artic or Redbeard instead, and thay way it doesnt get you close to leveling.

20fire damage/7strength to gloves is better than 15 & 7 agi imo, pick which one fits your style best.

Final note, this build is extremely glass cannon and requires everything to be perfect (including being tauren) for it to work. Queueing before you have every enchant and libram perfectly done, you will get blown up.

I currently use stinging viper with +30SP. I’ve tried fiery and life stealing and I believe +30 provides the best DPS and the healing makes it BiS. Take engineers cloak - use grizzled boots or footpads of the fang with leggings of the fang for the 2 piece bonus. I would also highly recommend +150 mana librams.

As others have said focus on Stam/Str/Int as they will be your main stats for sure.

Shamans are amazing at being a supporter both offensively and defensive, but I think it's wrong to look at them as "how can I do the most damage?" since that's really not what they shine at.

Leggings are really the only Fang piece worth wearing at all, set bonus or not.

Evocators with 30sp and a separate skeletal club with fiery/lifesteal to swap to in melee, is years better than trying to combine the two.

I understand wanting more mana, but sacrificing 200hp is just not worth it. You wouldnt be rocking Shadow Goggles > Green Tinted, dont choose mana > health librams.

Footpads of the fang vs. grizzled boots is 4 agi, 7 nature dmg vs 3 stam, 2 str. I see the argument for both. Evocator’s with spell power is a waste - use evo with int and switch out when the mana is gone. 30 SP provides great DPS and pairs well with high damage weapons. I would put fiery on an assassins blade for hitting healers. As far as librams go the OP said that mana is important. Green tinted to shadow goggles is not a fair comparison because it’s 8 stam vs 6 int. The libram gives 150 mana which is equal to 10 int and 100 HP which is equal to 10 stam.

Shawghank Orc Shaman here.
Think and gear for smart survival/support/casters nightmare and you will be okay.

You won't get off more than a purge or two before you are blown up by 5 twinks if you're horde, and good luck trying to bust out a heal because it's super slow and is subject to pushback. Only way a shaman is useful is if you're on a full premade and can support well and are being healed by a priest. If you join up as a horde shaman in a wsg pug you'll just get your cheeks clapped. Found this out myself and the only thing I would even think of rolling is a rogue just so I can pick off levelers, or 1v1 a twink. The brackets just one sided you can't really play a 2nd tier class.

Ouch! Truth hurts. It seems something is missing at this level for Shamans maybe shorter casting/cooldown times on shocks and lightning not to mention healing also maybe Mail armor from the get go possibly a bubble haha. I know asking for way too much.

Purge, interrupt, totems and pushback on casters is the only thing they really shine at as 19.

If I could ask for 1 thing for shaman in this bracket it would be the healing focus talent.

I would just take Instant Ghost Wolf cast with a immune for 3 seconds to any CC when casted. That would help me get away from fights and help against hunters when out of range.

Disagree entirely. Shamans are very useful and can certainly pug well. Pushback sucks but you shouldnt be casting heal/lightning bolt either way.

Being there to tremor, earthbind, purge, and interrupt is quite important, and the damage you do with shock, searing totem, shield, and basic attacks adds up.

If you go in expecting to play like full damage caster/melee, you are going to get stomped, but only because you're playing wrong.

I am not sure it needs to be said, but I think it's important to roll Orc Female. From my understanding Orc and UD female are the only two horde bodies that can go through Ally fence. As a shaman will almost exclusively offense purging the alliance flag squad, it is pretty important that you are able to do this.

I may be wrong on this, but I heard it from a few people this far. Beyond that, my recommendation is to get around 1400hp with 1200mana and +30 SP on an evoc blade. The SP coefficients on Earth Shock are pretty good. Once +22 Int is out, you'll prob want that on something as well. Maybe +30 SP on Scout's Blade and +30 Int on Evoc Blade? I am not sure. Bust fast attack dagger to pushback on caster has been super important for me in 29s and I am guessing it is as important in 19s
