39 BiS Standards (All Classes) Updated for Phase 5!

Its not about whats financially optimal; its about sending a message.

Think of the raptor strike crits

So the 2nd POD I got I gave to my 39 survival twink friend. He's geared af and raptor strikes crit for 600+(on a 39 mage), they have about 36% chance to crit with talents. And of course he still does good ranged damage with the +15% agil from survival.

Do you know if you can Counterattack / Mongoose Bite after a weapon switch to PoD if you dodge/parry while using other weapons?

I do think that survival will be a better meme spec than enh - reliable crits + better scaling with agility. Bushmaster AA -> Raptor Strike + Mongoose Bite is probably one of the highest damage possible combos in a GCD for 39s (don't quote me on this).

https://classic.wowhead.com/item=9375/expert-goldminers-helmet is now sleeper op, too. (joking)

"Oh? You're approaching me?"
"I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer."

You'll have to wait for the GCD, but yes they are still available after a swap. I'm not sure if you're going to meme out as hard as a shammy, but it will be meme worthy by even just equipping the thing. I've been debating it for months now, but it seems unfair to hog all the pods...

Quick question : Can't click on/see the Talents on SixtyUpgrades, is there something im doing wrong?

Nope it's doesn't have talent trees. What class were you looking for info on?

Is vanquisher's sword better than a fast dagger for Hemo rogues? I was thinking something like Sacrifical Kris of the Monkey or Coldrage dagger would be better.

Requesting Druid boomking builds

+sp, +int, +crit or some flavor thereof

Let's talk about viability later. ;)

-GC

K added Boomer build.

There's room for personal preference I think. Some players consider Vendetta BiS all the way up to the 50s for instance. I don't personally put too much importance on OH speed, specially when it's already 2.2, which doesn't feel gimp or anything in terms of poison procs. Stonevault Shiv strikes a nice balance between speed and stats if you want another option.

Is mark of the chosen all that great for warlocks? Doesn't seem like much of a benefit, I'm at 35 about to get stopwatch and thinking that or tidal charm+pvp trinket would be bis?

It's more of a melee trinket. I use my net/stopwatch like 90% of the time only swap to it when the two are on cd. If you can get a tidal or agm even I wouldn't bother picking it up.

Hey there - back after a long time of lurking years ago. Quick question for 39 Lock: is Staff of Jordan a waste then? I purchased it a while back to prep for 39s, but am realizing it's comparable to the Hypnotic Blade + Umbral setup.

It seems like SoJ is better for straight up SP, whereas the Hypnotic Blade + Umbral setup optimizes you for Shadow with a little bit of bonus Stam... the SP seems good in case I ever need to use Immolate or Rain of Fire, but otherwise an unnecessary luxury. I could try to sell?

It's more about picking up the stam I think.

I don't think it's the best trinket for mages, but almost anyone else can make use of stats for a whole minute.

Okay - well now I've got an unnecessary SoJ on Blaumeux if anyone needs.

TY for the tip. I'll see y'all soon in the 19 and 39 brackets (if we're in the same BG?). :)

You'll almost never cast immolate (30yd) in a bg scenario because you want to be at max dot range (36yd); its only worth casting if you literally have nothing else to dot/fear and are at full hp.

Spell power scaling on AoE spells is negligible and should be ignored.

I might be missing something but I don't see how he's getting above 11% crit with a Lightning Reflexes build. I personally run Survival as well and especially now without agility to weapons there's no way he's even close to 16%.

Here's a wowhead loadout for reference.
