Halo Reach Comes to PC (Steam) Dec 3rd

Yeah but customs and forge were great. Certain competitive game-types with abilities off and zero bloom was also good for MP. But yeah I agree H2/3 were better in terms of story, and 3 is probably my fav Halo game overall. But I never played H2 in its prime so I can't say much about it. But Halo 4 and onward is where I couldn't get on-board.

But I've watched PC gameplay for people who have Beta and it looks super smooth with high fps and cleaner graphics. Also being able to play the DLC maps from the start is a plus.

I get that story is important but are people ignoring MP?

This is super competitive MP so it’s not the best representation of the weapons and map variation

reach was the weakest in the series imho

campaign wise

h2/h3>all
H3 might have better campaign/multiplayer but reach was revolutionary for custom games, it also had infection all the time and game modes like griff ball which were good fun. Firefight was lit too.

I'm going to play the absolute fuck out of reach and h3

I'm gonna be bummed if H3 PC doesn't have unlockable armor via achievements like it originally did. MCC starts you off with everything which takes away the novelty of the armors.

I'm not to stressed about it as I'm going to be buying the entire collection. I'm obsessed with the external progression system that Black Ops 3 zombies has to if its anything like that I'm happy. (Progress across all games counts towards one level)

That sounds like a neat idea, but with certain things like I mentioned, there needs to be exceptions. Nothing was more frustrating yet rewarding as doing the vidmaster achievements in Halo 3 and ODST to unlock recon. Well back in the day, dealing with friends who had walmart connection and disconnecting out of the campaign achievements

christ I was a squeaker then

343 has a bad rep of botched launches. Or at least for MCC on xbox. hope it's a smooth launch. first impressions are important for pc audience.

besides reach being ass, sure

hot take.
also I think uncapped fps, higher res, quadroupled forge budget + new items, and no bloom (in specific playlists) will be a big 1-up. Lots of problems with original game but I think it's good for the most part. And yeah you can always have playlists and gametypes without armor abilities.

They wont fuck up like they did Xbox release, 343 can't afford another fuck up that monolithic and they know it.
Reach really was no good, legendary game Halo 3 is followed by a wannabe call of halo

I get at the time of it's release it didn't seem that great, but in hindsight it was a revolutionary game for Halo. To this day I don't think there is a better forge.

Reach has hands down THE BEST custom games, change my mind.

(I started with h3 too so I get why one might think Reach is bad)
