10-19 Classic 19 Twink Hunter Guide

Holy crap Waags?! I can't believe my eyes, is this real or is this a dream! I am reminiscing of the good old days hard right now. I have been great and you already know I'm playing classic, wish you were too dude lol

I misspelled Yoshishimba. My Warcraft days are done. I do tell the younger guys at work how I used to play til 4 in the morning and still come into work. See any old players? I see Saxon still playing. I dont think anyone from Hyjal but I would think some Made in China around. I play World of Warships, troll the internet and cosplay anime. I do miss playing but Blizzard crapped on my twink too many times.

Question @ scopes, this guide says to use Accurate Scope, but elsewhere I've seen people say you can have a higher level player apply a Sniper Scope. What's the actual deal for classic?

Is there a consensus for the best weapon to use as a dwaft? The Peashooter has lower damage, but you have the racial which somewhat makes up for it. I'm not sure if there is a difference in ammo damage or if a faster weapon would help towards ammo damage and orb walking.

If it's not the gun what's better between venomstrike and outrunner?

Edit: Read a comment above. looks like it might just be better to run a night elf, but everyone I've talked to loves stone form and hates shadowmeld since you can't even prowl to hide your pet at 19. 9 agi, 1% dodge and 10 nature resist do sound really good though, especially with your point about roots.

The +3 Scope has been confirmed as the highest attainable one for a lvl 19.

According to Wowhead, weapon skill has no effect in battlegrounds. I personally prefer Lil Timmy's on any race because you get higher Multi-Shot damage and you can use Crafted Heavy Shot (does anyone really have stacks and stacks of Feathered Arrows).

If I was swapping to a set of tank armor while running the flag should I bother with a 1h with stamina or just stick with the cruel barb? On a similar would serpent shoulders/scouting spaulders be a be better option for the extra armor to complement the absurd amount of health you already have?

Also if you have the 2 piece set bonus from the "of the fang" set, do you get extra damage on venomstrike and/or a windserpent pet? The footpads are pretty good and might be arguably better than feet of the lynx at 6 less armor and only -3 str if you consider stam and agility equal.

Would definitely recommend a NWSW+Furbolg combo. Health would still outvalue that slight armor gain, unless you have 1-2 pocket healers. That mitigation won't be worth it for the small healthpool we have.

Sorry, what's a NWSW?

Great guide, was such a help getting back into Classic and twinking.
I thought there was a few things that it could have added.
A blurb on consumables, what ones you should have, and others that you might want to go out of your way for, consumed on use items.
A mention of First Aid, luckily that can be done at any point.
I also struggled a bit with getting a pet to 19, with the points it needed, but that was less this guide and more Hunter Pets just being confusing. I thought everyone went boar but the more I looked into it the more I realized Cat was best.
Last 2 small mentions, people don't seem to understand that weapon skill doesn't matter in BGs so Dwarfs really should still be getting Venomstrike (Or just going NE to start with). And maybe a little blurb on little fun things outside of min maxing. like getting "Dartol's Rod of Transformation" and Deviate Delights and what not.

None of this is a criticism. Just some gaps I came across myself. Really just mostly the consumables and a reminder about First Aid.
With a chunk of gold and some frustrating WC runs, I'm easily one of the best geared 19s around thanks to this guide : )
Also BIG thanks for talking about Kiting and linking the videos to that Hunter YouTube channel. A wealth of knowledge on mechanics.

Weapon skill matters in bg, you have maxed weapon skill but dwarf will still have higher which will increase hit and crit. Venom strike doesn't even beat little Timmy in dps if you look at the math, only theoretically if you are able to spam instants and they are pretty much even at that point.

I didn't know there was a debate on BiS ranged weapon. Interesting. To bad The Night Watch quest kinda commits you to what you chose at the time or this would be interesting to play with.

There has been a LOT of discussion about ranged weapons on discord. We came to the conclusion that venomstrike is almost always better, unless you're multishotting on cloth every cd. Weapon skill adds 0.04 hit and crit per level, so 0.2 for dwarves in total.

i mean the hit/crit increase from +5 weapon skill in pvp is so small its basically irrelevant lol

venomstrike is better than timmys period, the proc rate on that shit ends up outweighing the higher top end and ability to use crafted ammo even when using vendor arrows

I really wish I would have made an account here sooner. You guys are so on top of this stuff. I personally went VenomStrike and it does proc a ton.
I didn't mean to open a can of worms here though. I just thought that some things could use a mention to some of us less informed readers. The guide really was amazing.
