At what point in your life did you made an Xpoff/TI account?

Somewhere during WoD, i was a lurker for a long time looking for warrior guides but then i wanted to post a meme so i made an acc
CUZ ANONS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO POST

Discovered twinking back in BC but never thought there would be somewhere online to find info about it, so I casually twinkled until around 2010 when I found TI, never made an account because I didn't really feel like being part of the community then. Frequently visited TI throughout the years until the change to XPOFF. Finally made an account at the end of WoD after meeting numerous veteran twinkers .

Join in August 2017 to help build Warlords of Warsong and connect with the community. Glad I joined, wish I had joined sooner. Everyone check out my thread for The Invasion of Fenris Isle! :D

Only 15 years after I started playing WoW which for me is a speedy piece of action ;)
Before that I lurked here but only for useful info, not for chitchat. Before that I lurked at Twinkinfo likewise, and before that I lurked at Elitist Jerks. I have a funny story about Elitist Jerks actually.

u gon leave us hanging like that?

I joined twink info 2009 shortly after they added achievementpoints, and I figueredzout I was the first that got 1000 points on a 19 (twink info wise) but after a while I stopped wow because they separated bgs the first time, and 19 only popped on English server, and I had no money to do a server trans. And now they separated Bgs again, so I am one of the few that saw both separation happen... This is the thread I followed back on twink info

I don't remember when I actually made an account, but I recall coming to TI for the first time.
It was in wotlk, when the enchant exploit with 0 durability boe items not binding was found.
Rocked the shades and lurked here ever since.

A f2p twink named earl and miindy informed me when I was like 17 in 2011 cata beginning of f2p.

Bear with me, this will make sense in a moment. Sometime in 2008 I discovered that PvP in WoW was amazing if I played a shaman instead of a priest. Twinks bullying players in battlegrounds tilted me, so I made a resto shaman "anti-twink" to heal levelers and kite the crap out of the twinks. I had a blast, but found that nobody made guides for shamans. It was all hunters and rogues. Since I'm a compulsive writer, I made my first shaman twink gear guides on Livejournal for 29s and 39s. Near the end of TBC, I posted iterations on PwnDepot, and started reading TI as well.

In March of 2009, while poking around Drayner's site, I found that somebody at Twinkinfo ripped off a guide of mine and posted it as their own. I made an account on TI and messaged Drayner about the situation, and he immediately quarantined the guide without even verifying my story. I never saw that poster again. I still have that first site message from Drayner (which is pretty crazy given how many upgrades this site underwent over the years).

Drayner's swift and professional response impressed me enough that I hung around TI. PwnDepot soon went under, and I later went on to write several guides and articles for TI, and then twinking.net / bisnation.net, culminating in doing a number of podcasts with @youbeezy , @Chops , @Daksa , @Original , and others. I "retired" from twinking in 2014, but every now and then someone goes digging into the soccer dad ranks and pulls me back in.

I'll always remember TI as my first committed volunteer writing gig.

those twinks were much cooler when they were f2p...
ur male orc shaman was a force to reckon with in AV around later MoP/WoD- oh I missed those times.

on topic, I joined TI out on family vacation when I was prolly freshman/sophomore in high school... the only reason was so that I could use the class armory list for gear knowledge and to look at all the swag 19's. great, exciting wow times.

Yo my life was crazy af when I joined. I was like 27-28 I think. I had gone through living with my dad, my stepmom tried to frame my dad with a "sexual assault" recording on her phone, got him thrown in a psych ward because she called cops on him when he was talking to a suicide prevention hotline......all so she could leave him for another man. I stuck around, made sure that the bitches plans were ruined. My dad got out, we moved into his boss's RV in the backyard of his house. I made a bit of money, hopped on a greyhound to Portland OR, lived in my aunt's basement and started working at the bar that she owned, about 5 months later I helped her close the doors on that bar for good as she went out of business. I experienced the worst depression of my life shortly after. During that time, I smoked lots of weed drank a lot and played wow to escape. I think it was wod when all this mayhem was going on. I remember when I created this account, I aspired to be a well known warlock player in the twinking community, stream it, make guides for locks because there didn't seem to be any IIRC and so forth. Life got in the way of all that, but I enjoyed the banter I might try to accomplish those goals in the future.
