Official Epic Upgrade Bragging Thread (Warning: Jealousy/Salt)

Thats actually an interesting method, I think everyone has experienced the classic scenario with a desired item requiring the completion of a quest chain and then having some trivial piece of gear proc epic on the quest right before the one your item is a reward for in said chain. I always feel like my chances are dramatically diminished of an epic proc when this happens.

It could be real, could be luck. I must retire now so that I may adorn and gently stroke my Talisman of True Treasure Tracking while considering these new possibilities.

edit - Also when any fkn item drops for you off Vicious Fallout when youre trying to farm the vers ring from the next boss in gnomer.

edit - With the gnomer scenario I wonder if its a Schrödinger's cat kind of deal where If you dont loot Vicious Fallout then the loot waiting for you is undetermined unntil you click.

edit - After further consideration that stupid new 'mail all the unlooted shit to players' system blizzard added might imply the loot is decided regardless of you looting or not......then again what if you dont look at a mailbox......thats a potential double Schrödinger's cat, two cats!

are loot tables broken again atm? cause if they dropped from a crate they wouldn't be scaled, and the crates that dropped them no longer drop them.

in hearthstone, your chance of getting a legendary card drastically drops after you get a legendary card from a pack, my assumption is that blizzard has a somewhat similar feature in wow, so i stagger important quests with a lot of filler quests inbetween, ontop of that ill hold a main quest for 4 weeks or so before i hand in.

i cant exactly prove this, but it worked for like 4 pieces of BOP epic gear, 3 of which went from green>epic

Epic Drake Scale.png

I saw this Epic Drake Scale on AH about a month ago. Wowhead doesn't list it on the current drop tables, but down below there are commenters that show that it has been dropping for a while. So, it's definitely not a crate.
Drop rate for this stuff must already be super-low if you so rarely see them; getting an epic-proc is probably too improbable. Not worth the farming effort, I think. (And of course, stats aren't that good on this particular item).

that's sweet, yeah I seen the comments on a few items, I linked one above with pic, while sum items sux sum are worth the look to see if they can drop again.
now for a long farm/grind.. nuts lol.
 
I came here just to mention the above things.

Lots of either very rare or unobtainable items seem to be dropping again. I saw a epic Humbert's Chestpiece as well. Very sick for primary stat stackers.

Tell me from the point of rare farming for epics i put my f2p warry in the wrong cave after 4 weeks is realized that, ran to the other cold cave: epic pacifer bämm!! Life is crue what would happend when i camped the right cave from the beginning?: probaly nothing RNG is an bitch!
