What the hell is "recup"?

What "recup" means? I see this a lot in BGs chat and I still dont know what it is. "Recup" sounds like "refill your cup". When someone say "recup" I refill my cup of whiskey/vodka/beer or tea in very rare situations.

Is this "recup" have something to do with the flag in WSG? Why "recup" then? "recap" maybe I`ll understand cuz sounds like "recapture" the flag, but... recUp? What cup? I play football managers and FIFA for more than 20 years and "recup" means FA Cup Replay (when you draw the first match) to me.

What is the origin of this "recup" shit?

Recuperate was a rogue healing ability a few years ago.

Anyway Im sure a quick google would give you the answer you seek.

Never seen anyone say it in randoms/premades/anything prior to or after the above mentioned ability by Dasha.

Must be some weird EU terminology. ;)

Maybe its a french term for "re-pick the flag" when someone is about to drop/lose it in WSG, but everyone is using it in EU nowadays. Dunno, nobody answer me when I ask what "recup" is.

In French it would mean recap depending on the contex.

/cheers

Ahh. Didn't think about that.

Definitely would explain it. Sound about right, eh @Embu?

When you say "recup" you mean "get back the flag to our base". Kill the guy who currently brings it, so we be able to win the point. That's what it means for a French-speaker in a WoW battleground. It comes from "recuperate": brings back something.

Explains why I've never seen it on NA servers, then.
