Please help me!

Hey guys!

I am coming back to playing and it seems 19 is a ghost town. Can someone explain what the term "Vet" means? Also, it seems we can get more purples then before? Will any quest have a chance for an upgrade even with xpoff?

Yes, on the quests. A Vet account is an account that has run out of sub time, I THINK. Not 100 on that.. But the quests is a solid yes. My the RNG Gods be in your favor!

A veteran account is what blizzard calls an account that USED to have game time but no longer does. It's subject to all the restrictions of a starter account, primarily that it can't level past twenty.

People like to twink veteran accounts because you can fully gear and enchant a 20, let your subscription lapse and then play for free.

Because this most recent patch separated xp-on and xp-off players into separate ques, veteran accounts have gained popularity because they count as "XP on" so they still get games.

Now I know what your question is gonna be. No, you can't play 19s on a vet account. Veteran and starter accounts cannot que BGs with their XP turned off.

As for quest rewards, yes. Amy quest reward has a chance to proc epic

Awesome! Thank you very much for the response! Sadly, I literally just subbed again yesterday so its going to be a while before I can do that. I am kinda at a loss for what to do actually. I have tons of 19s and 29s. I hate current max lvl content. kinda in limbo for classic atm and thats why I subbed again.

What I would recommend is this:

19s are still getting nightly games (que in the evening, WSG specific and you should get games) so you'll prolly wanna hang on to those twinks.

So build a new level 20 on your account. Twink it out. Get all the epic quest rewards you can (some classes are more dependent than others). Then create a second WoW account on your Bnet and xfer your twink there. You'll need to have game time to make the transfer possible but then let it run out. You'll now have a main account with your 19s that you keep active and a vet account with your 20, both playable.

If buying a second account "just to let it run out" sounds like a waste of time/money, then after the character transfer you could request that the gametime from the new account be moved to your main account... so you'd effectively have an "instant" vet account you can immediately use, as well as more paid time for your main. ;)

Also, it seems we can get more purples then before?
Any quest reward has a chance to proc epic.

...since Chops seems to have caught an uncharacteristic case of "humility", I'll tell you that he knows a little bit more about "Epic Upgrades" than his reply would suggest.

Have I got a video for you!

Can you transfer a 20 that's on a BFA account to a non-BFA account? don't you need to buy the expansion for the account you're transferring the character to? been wanting to know this for awhile.
