EU+US Weapon Swaps

WTF how

Guest
Can someone explain how this works to me? I always see it mentioned, but I don't understand how you can swap weapons while in combat.

Weapons are able to be swapped in combat, most frequently to get multiple crusader procs.

Weapon swaps are on the gcd (recent change I believe?) But it's still worth it

I think they have been on the GCD for quite some time. Several expansions. Although, it may have been dropped and brought back recently.

/equip whateverweapon

make macro. apply to action bar

I don’t even think you need to go that far. You can just place the icon on your action bar I believe and make it a hotkey. That should work.

/cheers

Make equipment set in the equipment set manager, drag it to your action bar, gg. You mainly only wanna do this as a strength class.

Rogues can mega tryhard with vers proc enchants that procs randomly while in stealth and stays active while swapped out (heartsong for instance). It's minimal effect really. Other enchants that gives AP or Agi on proc loses their proc once swapped out.

Last time I played (mop? Pretty sure) I dont remember it being on the gcd. Came back nd it was. I was playing ret pal at the time which always seemed to have a gcd or two without any buttons to press so it didn't feel too wonky but it definitely felt weird having swaps on the gcd

If you're planning on weapon swapping with more than 2 weapons of the same name for example 3 pacifiers, you will need to make item sets and bind each item set individually.

Do you have any smart way that you keep track of which item set is currently equipped. I'm having a hard time remembering which of my weapons are in main hand. I'm currently swapping off-hand and mainhand after a proc.

Depending on how much you care about your transmog, you could just transmog your weapons to different ones. I just keep a mental note personally tho.

what also helps is calling the sets "1" and "2" or whatever and allways go equip the first set of weapons aka "1" after a fight.
this in combination with different enchant glows is what i used on my fury

edit : personally i would just swap both at the same time after u get 2 crusaders up i think this only activates 1 gcd instead of 2 when u swap them one by one

If you have different weapon categories, you can use the worn/equipped modifier to make a macro that basically says "if I'm using a 2h axe, switch to MySwordSet, otherwise switch to MyAxeSet" or something.

as a fury, you get 2x Crusader and swap to second gear... procc another 2 crusaders (requiers luck) and you have 400 strenght gain.... that is enough to pretty much global any healer if you use Rampage and Frag belt.
