Dungeon Tank god mode(ish)

Don't forget on good old Lifestealing. The proc is mostly only 30 damage / heal but my experience so far in BFA is that is procs a ton (more than Elem force).

That's right, the proc rate is very high for Lifestealing. Although I think the amount of healing is a bit weak compared to it's competitors. Nonetheless it's a very nice enchant to have when you're playing an AoE role due to it's high proc rate.

Sorry to necro, but what would you suggest for enchants on a 15 prot paladin doing similar stuff? Specifically wep, shield, neck? Working on one now with miserable quest upgrade luck so far :|

For neck, the legion enchants would be the way to go. Hidden Satyr is a damage proc. Ancient Priestess will proc healing (though not necessarily on you), and I think thick hide or something gives armor. So depends where you think youre lacking.

For shield, My guess is the stam + verse enchant would be the way to go. Its possible a spike of some sort would work for some damage as well. Its typically not an option for pvp, but might be for tanking tons of dungeon mobs.

For weapon enchant...hard to say. Lifesteal or coastal surge for self healing - theres also a BfA leech enchant that could work depending on your damage output. Theres a few versatility procs that might be interesting for both damage and defenses. I think theres a BfA enchant that gives armor.

Guessing you'll need to do lots of testing.

That's my issue, I know how most enchants work on my 19s/20s, but I'm unsure of what would be best for this sort of gameplay. Basically kill large groups, aoe damage. Prot does fine dishing the aoe damage out consistently, but I am looking to increase that damage while increasing my ability to be self sustaining. So far I can keep myself up with casting flash of light but if there's a wep enchant that would take some of the pressure off, or dish out aoe damage, that would be rad.

I might just start enchanting 1h boa weps and seeing which performs best.

EDIT: One thing I notice is the difference between wep enchant procs that are solely melee attacks or melee and spell attacks.

I’ve tried quite a bit of tanking on my Prot Warrior and nothing seems to beat straight up Crusader procs. The heal is quite decent and also the extra dps helps burn down the target and reduce the fight time.
I’ve tried weapon swapping with all sorts of chants and still I found nothing as viable as Crusader. If anything, weapon swap for more Crusader procs.
This relates to a Str based tank btw.
