FYI: I locked the calendar event a couple days ago for Saturday's raid mainly because I don't want more people signing up than there were spots for (I really don't want to 'reject' people because too many of one role signed up). We were quickly approaching 30 attendees, some putting themselves as tentative joins.

With that in mind, invites will be going out approximately 7:40 PM CST. Priority invites are based off of:
• 119's who are "Signed Up" on the calendar event and who are online. First the Healers, then Tanks, then DPS. If you select a DPS role the earliest time in which you committed to the calender event is considered a priority over others.
• If spots remain (it will be a 30 man raid), and no other ready to go 119's are available, we will look outside the community for roster spots.

If you are going, the expectation is you should have put in the best effort for TW gear. SoO raid has tons of good socketed gear that drops and the SW PVE vendors have good socketed gear available for purchase, or the Blacksmith in new Dalaran for Legendaries to purchase. Enchant and gem that gear up (gems can be bought at SW PVP vendor, cheap with Marks) and get your food and consumable buffs. This raid could take up to 5 hours, every little bit you do to maximize your character could be the difference in how smoothly or quickly things go. Lastly, watch the TLDR video or any other videos on TW Ulduar. The more you know.

I may be interested in this! Will sign up once I figure out next month's schedule...

Bump. Would love alot of people with gem enchanted gear to join in. Siege of orgrimmar is a great place to farm.

SOO for the amount of available slots?

SoO just has alot of drops that have 2-3 sockets. even weps and offhands have sockets. Vendor in SW in old town has CATA cloaks, bracers, and boots with sockets too.

Shoulders from last boss on mythic have a small chance to drop, but have 3 sockets

Another good thing to pick up is ICC quest ring. heroic version has a nice proc and gem slot

Shadowmourne would obviously be bis for str users

What about that Gurthak? Pretty broken in 80-89 apparently... lot easier to get.

edit- im honestly waiting to see if its even worth going for gear after this anniversary event.

Will be. Even if you don't get everything, 315s are still much more effective than some 290 quest item. On the opposite side of the spectrum, if you have have a ton of 333+, filling in that last bit with a 310/315 is icing on the cake.

If I don't get my 333 typhoon, I'll be pretty let-down. But if I can manage a 315 warforged ulduar weapon, I'll be satisfied.

Im saying tho… if I do get the 333+ im after then I wont be bothering. BT was fun because of the community in discord, but a cheese grater of a chore and broken as hell. I got a 305 cloak in that raid. Awesome.

I got like 5 cloaks from the anniversary event so far (few duplicate) all 333 or better... I like the community, not the raids.

REMINDER:
Reminder for the guys who have signed up for this it will require your best effort. This raid could take a few (~4-5) hours and the better prepared we are the better. Research TW Ulduar videos and attempt to get gear best suited for the raid. Legendaries, socketed gear and consumables, etc.

Looks like blizzard is preparing for WOTLK TW :)

Algalon

  • Melee damage reduced by 10%.
  • Black Hole Explosion damage reduced by 35%.

Really wanted to join but it looks like I'll be out of town this Sat. Good luck!

I never even knew timewalking raids was a thing. I always thought there were only the dungeons in dungeon finder. How exactly does it work?

During the WotLK TW week, if you are level 81 or higher you can queue a raid from the NPC Vormu in old Dalaran to do Ulduar. The raid will scale to the number of participants you have, be it between 10 and 30 players. Your stats and gear will scale down to level 80, approximately at 100 item level.

Do I understand you correctly @ Petrolsk ... you take off your iLvL 300 gear and running the timeless dungeons and raids with gear from LvL 80 [iLvL 100] ? Because this will not be scaled down? If that works, cool idea ...
