110 Quick Start Guide [BfA]

Also, how many 120s/110s does it take to clear Mythic Antorus with BfA gear now?
With 120s? Not many but people are retarded and don't like doing mechanics, you could have like 1/4 of the raid being 110 and the 120s will whine about why you're in there. Many people don't understand that twinking is a thing and it's far different than in Legion. We need raid gear this expansion, it's far different than Legion where we'd literally just buy BoE gear off the AH or go farm it ourselves. It's sad though because you could start a M Antorus group on your 110 and still get people bitching about you being 110 even though you're the one doing mechanics while somehow doing far more damage than everyone else who just bought their gear with no effort put into it.

Hello. Would this advice work for a 111 as well? What would change for a 111 if not. Is there a similar guide for 111? (My gathering/Twink is 111.)

Thanks.

Afaik there is no 111 guide. If anyone wants to make one, they're more than welcome to copy/paste the relevant parts fromt his.

I think the azerite armor works the same though. 111s have access to a lot of crafted gear, as well as a green alchemy trinket and tincture that are very strong. The BfA gems also give their full values as opposed to the scaled-down values.

So I think a lot of slots would start out with crafted pieces, and M Antorus with gem slots are the real BiS for many slots.

Thanks for the quick reply. As a returning player... I boosted a new account...got to 120 and BFA'd. But I'm really enjoying the slower pace i've set my "real" character.

I never saw Legion so I was hoping to just lock xp and enjoy the stories but also chip away at my necklace, and so on.

So, whilst not maximum twink potential, 111 will still be very viable for both contents? And it sounds like it may be easier to gear up initially with crafted BFA gear, and then work towards LEG bis - especialy on a new account!

Really enjoying this more than the treadmill. Glad I saved my true character choice till i'd wet my feet ^^

111 is very viable for island expeditions and pve content. It has worse scaling, but some better stat potential with gems and alchemy stuff. The main downside of 111 is instanced pvp, as you get put in the 111-119 BGs and cannot use legendaries there.

I don't know if theres things that 110s can do that 111s can't do. Might be only 110s can queue for legion heroics or LFR maybe? Idk.

Works exactly the same at 119 except that at 117 dungeons and rares drop 295 azerite gear, so yes it works for 111.

The rare crafted gear is better than most, if not all, quest drops for 111 and the tincture of renewed combat trinket is simply OP for farming and PvE. Gems also scale up to BFA stats so sockets are a premium. Ease of access is the draw of 111, I think, assuming you have a decently stocked auction house on your server. Aside from the trinket mentioned tho, the "best" gear for 111 is the same as 110, so the benefit of 111 has limits.

Yeah, I believe once you pass 110 you can no longer use the LFG tool to queue for legion content. You can still join or form custom groups, which don't apply to the topic anyway.

Well Mythic Eonar requires 16 different players to do a very specific mechanic, so you definitely need at least 16 people. However you should always try and fill to 20 because varimthras and Aggramar are pretty difficult, even for 120s.

Hello. Noob question again.

- How do people get their artifact weapon to such high numbers on BFA boosted characters. I understand if you played all through Legion you had time to farm and many 110's would even be mains from that xpac (raid pimped!) But I can't aseem to find any good advice for new 110's/111's how to go about getting the artifact up to ilevels above BFA quest items/AH items.

- And my other question as a retuening player that never played Legion... With a BFA boosted charatcer, what route do I pursue to get legendary items? Again, many of the guides and tips i've searched either assume you are max level in legion, or that you have other characters that are. Are their prequest needed? Do you just hunt certain mobs with low drop chance?

Any advice would be massively appreciated! (Playing moonkin if that helps with pointed advice.)

Every raid and dungeon from Legion has a chance to drop relics for the artifact weapons. The highest relics you can get are from Antorus the Burning Throne, which is a raid located in Argus. Just try and do Normal and Heroic Antorus in group finder every week until you’re ready for mythic, it’s definitely the way way to gear up a twink. You can also do any of the other raids too, they just drop lower ilvl gear.
In regards to your second question, you need to get 1000x Wakening Essence and turn them in for a legendary (or they very rarely drop from raids and EVEN MORE RARELY you get them from BG wins). Wakening essence can be gained from Legion world quests, and then also every Antorus the Burning THrone boss you kill gives you about 20-30x essence (only once a week per difficulty though). And if you get the bonus roll tokens from Dalaran, each roll that does not result in loot will instead give you 150x essence. On average, if you kill every boss in Antorus and roll 2 non-loot bonus rolls, you’ll get about 6-700 essence a week. Additionally, your first BG win of the day will give you 30x essence, and your first random legion heroic dungeon of the day will give the same amount. Honestly there are a lot of ways to go about getting it, and you can very easily get 1000x in a week just from Antorus, non-loot bonus rolls, and BGs. World quests and legion heroic dungeons are only useful if you don’t roll 2 non-loot bonus rolls (but typically out of 3 weekly bonus rolls, 1 results in loot and 2 result in essence).
Add and whisper me at TrapGodKahl9#1637 if you have any questions!

Are there two professions that you should aim for? (Besides alch if going for the potion trinket?)

Nothing too major. Engineering has fun tools with gliders and stuff. Dunno that you can get the BfA belt enchant for the shield.

Otherwise I'd honestly consider mining/herb to farm a bunch of stuff while out and about.
[doublepost=1540775461,1540775318][/doublepost]I'll also add that you DO need to unlock the 2nd legendary through the class hall research.

Planning on Starting a 110 here soon... Found out the 3 I want are from Tiragard2, Drustvar2, and the War Campaign. When I lock my XP, how can I start the new zone quest without turning in Tiragard2 and Drustvar2?

So now that I've started my 110 questing, after I did the first few intro quests to get to the first zone quest hub - I can now go back to the table and choose the other options. So you should be able to start the other zones after only finishing a few quests in the current zone.

All I can say is, #1 Bravo sir on ANOTHER, very well made guide. #2, Let me know (soon) if you need me to help test anything... Currently leveling a DK to get to twink 110. #3, Please make these guides for all brackets with the infinite amount of time you have? :)

Heh. I already have one full time job. I don't need to be making guides as another =P

But I agree we really need some...20/29 are fairly close to 19 so shouldn't be hard for someone who plays that brackets. I think 39s is mostly dungeon gear/BG crate gear with a few BoE options.

Quick question, how would you start Zuldazar2 if Zuldazar1 is a prerequisite?

You have to complete Zuldazar1 before you can do Zuldazar2. This adds a bunch of limitations into what possible paths you can do. Whats the 3 quests that you want at 295?
