Why is survival hunter so good?

I keep seeing that dual wield survival is the way to go as a hunter. Is this simply because of 2 enchants? Because you can't use your melee abilities with 1h weapons, so it's just 1(?) ranged attack.

the benefit of dual ele force proccing w/ serpent sting far outweighs raptor strike's value
with access to 2 kill command charges you don't even have a gcd to spare for it anyway

if u can get ur hands on a good 2H weapon the swap macro may prove useful and outdamage pure 2Wield
For 19s idk what 2H weapon is BiS
For 29s i got gfed TF fel spear :)
For 39s im usin Khoo's point

for 19 i'd say bg crate blue staff

2H heirloom axe and spear are ok, u can get asap if u need crit rating
the versat spear is from archeology and quest to get it will be available only april 2019 ,

Aha, that's what I will go for with 2 Kill Commands. Thanks! Any pet that's a best choice?

At 19, only carrion birds from before 7.3.5 have their main ability (mortal strike) - if you got one, use it.

Otherwise you'll want to pick based on the family ability. Theres 8% additional movespeed (if you use Minor Speed instead of a hybrid enchant like cat's swiftness), 10% leech, and 5% stam (and also a damage reduction active for you and your pet). Look at petopia for options. I believe mechanical may be the "best" pet as speed is important and it can't be sapped.

what is a good combination of the heirloom weapons to use ?

No heirloom. https://www.wowhead.com/item=2850/bronze-shortsword x2 - they have the same weapon damage as heirloom weps/19 blues and give a lot of agility. Shadowfang is a tiny bit better with the proc, but depends on how much $ you want to spend on it. Bronze swords are super cheap and 99.5% as good.

For a 2h, BG crate staff is best, followed by a dungeon 2h axe/polearm or heirloom polearm/staff with your desired stats.

I'm pretty sure at 19 that EF will represent a big enough portion of your damage that you are going to want Haste more than anything.

If someone could give me a details report or something of a typical 19 running DW EF I could give you a better idea. It's certainly possible that Haste could outscale Agility.

Haste, verse, and crit all work for ele force. Crit probably the least so at 150%, but its also got the best rating -> % numbers.

Yes, they do all work, but haste works best. RPPM increase aside, the GCD reduction, CDR on Kill Command and Increased Focus regen will always bring Haste to the top.

I'd say an argument could be made for verse as well for straight % damage and damage reduction - which is very valuable being on the front lines and jumping deep. Though really, a healthy mix of haste/verse would probably be ideal for long term ranged damage. And crit still can have a place if you're trying to burst people down - which depends on playstyle and situation.

The difficult question though is how strong is agility in comparison to the secondaries. Should you go with Forest Leather Bracers? Chain leggings? Rough bronze cuirass? Or replace all those with generic pieces that have secondary stats?

Most certainly right with Haste/Vers, though as 19 DW are already in the business of chip damage I really think that's the way to go over gathering much Crit. If you had access to Wildfire Bomb it could be a different story, but by then EF is dealing a lesser proportion of your overall damage anyway.

Again, if anyone wants to post a Details report of a battleground as 19 DW, I could tell you just from the damage spread whether or not Haste will outweigh Agility. It will give us an idea of how much of your damage is affected by Agility+Substats versus just Substats, and even napkin math at that point will give us a very good idea.

Edited quickly for spelling error
