Why did they?

Remove enchants from Instanced PVP? I still baffled by this change...keep in Mind i'm coming back from Cataclysm and now I come back to this...Things were so different then a lot of the changes made since then are horrible like Templates for one thing i remember when it was your actual stats i remember when the 19 bracket when they gave us low levels high level abillities like a rogue having Ambush at that level....and how OP it was i remember having full looms and one shotting people with Ambush in that bracket good times !!!!

Did they ever explain why they removed enchants? I feel like they ruined a big part of the game by doing that and almost ruined a profession at the same time. People spend a lot of gold on enchants and would like them to matter it's not fair that they don't

They wanted to "even " the playing field to give new players a chance to fight. Plus the templates and stuff will remove most advantage twinks have except for skill (the flaw being that there's so much rng that skill doesn't really matter anyway)

I just dont understand how blizzard "balances" stuff. They take out potion usage in game, but you can pot up before joining a game and it stays on you - while some effects like that get removed when you join a bg.. But they allow speed pots.. They take out enchants but allow black magic to work. They want balance but make endgame PvP require endless grinds and traits for your artifact wep - To a point mid expansion, you weren't even considered for groups if you werent X amount of AP level.

They don't make any sense. I wish the shit would go back to mop days though. I feel like every single bracket would be revived if everything worked in bgs / arenas again. I still remember grinding out that engineering @ level 70 for a random tinker and hoping it was the Tazik Shocker

The funny part is that some of the changes actually had the opposit effect of "less grinding" etc. Back when you could farm "BiS", then that was it. Now, you barely have any limits to what your character can do in a PvE setting. Titanforged, socketed gear, AP farming etc. The limits are now even higher. As for PvP, remember ilvl has an effect on the template. Unlike at lower levels, endgame actually has gear progression. The ilvl got higher and higher throughout Legion, which means increased stats in PvP. So if Blizzards intentions was to give people minimal investment rewards, then they achieved the exact opposit.

Thing is, that before, you had customization. Not just at lower levels, but at endgame too. Wanna go for a mastery build? Go ahead. Wanna go for a haste build? Go ahead. Wanna stack PvP power/Resil? Go ahead. Wanna mix PvE and PvP gear? Go ahead. Like there was so much to explore and do. So much min-maxing in terms of stat breakpoints etc. All that just went away.
One of the core essences in an MMORPG is to work hard. People who play and put in the work gets rewarded. You obtained BiS for that, that and that. GZ. You're awesome. Of course there was RNG involved, but now it's just ridiculous really. Now, it's basically like: "Let me see if I can get this warforge socketed if I'm lucky". "Oh look, I got a HC titanforged socketed from a previous tier that's now better than this mythic piece I worked my ass off for". "Fuck, I need to keep farming AP as well". Like there's no "I have now achieved x, y, z", and therefore it just feels empty. REALLY EMPTY.

Why play twinks now by the way? How come this website is still up if the concept is practically done in BGs?

It's just for fun, some people enjoy just playing bgs that's all. Also the site is up cuz ppl can organise wargames and stuff, and also some come here for the drama and memes

Mainly because I can't leave the investment I made into my twink alone. It'd be like killing a part of yourself xd.
That, and because even if the game is but a former shadow of what it used to be, I still enjoy the community itself and the people I play with.

Back in BC when i twinked a 19 rogue and warrior, it got boring once i got them geared. It was just a competition of twinks back then. Lowbies were absolute non factors. Most twinks just focused the lowbies because it was fun to one shot i guess and it actually encouraged players to not pvp. Pugs came down to whoever had the most twinks, which was boring. Now anyone has a chance to play competitively at a low lvl. I feel like there is more skill involved now that people do not have crazy gear, i mean it does not take skill to get gear and enchants, just way too much time.

The game is a former shadow of what it used to be... so I am considering to resub, but haven't played twinks since MoP. I just don't want crappy BGs and 0 community of running dungeons for twink loot etc. Hunting achievements, pets, transmogs... you know the drill

They are trying to pass laws against miss gendering and adding new genders. And you guys aren’t surprised why such a large corporation would appeal to the casual player xD. Still hopping they fix it though
Can you name all 52 genders of the rainbow? I can’t. Stuck at 2

When we had the numbers for it, segregated BGs were nice. It was basically twink 10v10s all the time.

If things were better balanced, the current state probably wouldn't be such a hard pill to swallow. Twinks still have a slight edge in gear, but generally it would come down to skill. But things are rather unbalanced at the lower brackets. So just hopping into queue for a quick game or two isn't fun.

19s are super active, shorter que times than 100. Is twinking still fun? Not nearly as much as it used to be but it also depends on why you play a low lvl.

With 19s i can still pvp but only press like 3 buttons, have toons that are geared forever, plus never have to listen to some nerd flipping out on discord. Its like a taking a break from the real pvp at 110

Depends what you define as fun.
If you enjoy casual games, with alot of consumable usage, alot of people unaware of how the map works that brag about damage done and front line on casters fun then possibly.
If you enjoy it competitively only, then probably not unless you wish to play wargames on weekends.

Eexcept you're forgetting the abilities you had available in the past. Less buttons is gonna require less mechanical skill. However, gear also had a certain skill mechanic to it. A lot of people swapped gear depending on situations. FC gear for carrying flags, dmg gear for when going all-in on FC's, balanced gear sets for when playing mid. Swapping trinkets that are on CD etc. etc. It's something that's not necessary anymore.

You even saw this gear-swapping mechanic at endgame for a very long time. Ferals swapping to int weapons and off-hand when they were healing, healers swapping to MP5 gear when low on mana, warriors swapping to shield and sword when they needed to use abilities that required a shield equipped etc. etc. You just don't see this anymore. The game has been dumbed down to the extreme where you can put any monkey on a survival hunter, and they'll be successful. At lower levels that is.

cuz im still a superhero with a bosted ilevel and consumables in bg’s. just a different way to twink now.

My comments apply to 19 & 29 lvl RBG's only:
It is my opinion, blizziod wanted to have, complete control over power distribution in BG's. They also wanted to ensure the "heavy hitting" melee types would control battleground outcome."Feed the egos of the melee types and all is well". They also created, " op survival hunters" to make sure their objectives were successful.
In essence, blizziod has totally removed player ability to try and compensate for poor talent and power choices, especially in BG play. They also made it easier for the "lazy's" to not have to work to be successful in BG's.
Also,"premade" BG groups have also gotten out of hand and blizziod does nothing about it.
Blizziod is clueless when it comes to power balance and faire play.
