Interesting BoE scaling found.

on the AH all the BoE blues/epics i've seen so far are all higher lvl Req then their original pre 7.3.5 state.

But i was farming and i found this. axe Executioner's Cleaver

the weapon you see on WoWhead is its original form.. Req lvl 43 and ilvl 48
However! the one i found was Req lvl 37 and ilvl 45!..
That means probably that loads of BoE epics could scale below req lvl 39 for example.. that would normally be 40-60 BoE epics.

There might even be some epics that could scale below req lvl 29.. I doubt any would scale lower then 19 though... hmmm i hope so O_O..

Please let me know if anyone of you has other examples of this please in order for us to figure out how this whole strange scaling system works Thanks.

it would seem world drop boe blues sometimes get +8 to ilvl in stead of +6 even if found in a dungeon
i have only gotten +6 on world drop blue boes

but saw some guy in a dungeon loot this

I would love to find a Sentry cloak ilvl 27 on my 19 hunter. Making it once again BiS for ilvl pvp atleast!
or a Firebane cloak would be just as good!... and i guess its now most likely that it could drop for lvl 19 also +8 ilvls.
Also something ive found is an req lvl 43 Kang of the decapitator, That means that Epics are also posibe to scale lower then their original versions.
So might be a few new epics availliable for the 29 bracket and probably A lot new for the 39 and 49 brackets!
but yeh.. rare af
I love to find new stuff to do on twinks every patch and especially with the new expansion! down scaling dmg and healing numbers is gonna bring a nice vibe back..

There have now been many sightings of epics scaled way lower than their requirements used to be. I have even seen bloodrazor in the 30-39 bracket. How low can epics go? How the fuck can you get an epic thats lower than the required of previous patches, to drop?

what level would an alt have to be to farm drops for a lower level? and would it be the same for every bracket?

its pretty safe to say +13 is the norm
curious if the current love is in the air epic necklaces are just the single exception at +5

Honestly the only question that needs answering now is how to farm the epics that for some reason have a lower required level than ever before, and +8 blue boes. If we can find out how to do this sort of thing, there should be new BIS for everything (unless people have invasion gear).

Some more crazy finds so far - this pretty much confirms that whatever is BIS right now in 30-39 40-49 is no longer the case and that these weird fluctuating epics with odd required levels are the new sort after item.

so Now the question is... how can we indeed scale the epics as low as possible..

First of all... i didnt understand how loot worked before 7.3.5... Can somebody explain please... is it about the level the mob is ? or is it about which level YOU are when you kill it? Or maybe it's both?

My experience so far is this
I've been killing lvl 40 mob that i could loot on my lvl 19 hunter. This is also how i've found the Executioner's Cleaver that scaled 6 req levels lower then its original.

And ive been finding many greens varying from Req lvl 31 to Req lvl 39 up there... I've found about 10 greenies so far all in between those lvl Req... Including the Rare axe... This lets me believe that also epics would have a req lvl of 31-39 when these mobs are killed on a level 19... And i'm not sure if things would scale even lower when they would be killed on a level 10 char.. or maybe even on a level 1...(This is something we have to test!) Imagine full epic lvl 19 twinks O_O...

Even if these BoE's wont scale any lower then Req lvl 31 from these lvl 40 mobs.. then maybe its possible to get lower scaled epics to drop in 30-60 or 35-60 zones.

Hey how are you able to loot mobs that are ?? on the portrait? I tried being on my 29 in burning steppes at the spot where massive groups of mobs spawn and I couldn't loot anything, even when I soloed them or was in a group.

Yea I don't think farming spots on lvl 1 toons is going to happen. But where I was going with what I said was I'm sure it has to do with the Zone you're in vs your lvl. I think you have to be in a zone that has the correct starting req to drop said epic. I've been farming 40-60 zones on my 39 and have yet to have any rare or epic to drop but I have had tons of greens with no rime or rhythm to the scaling. Even rares don't scale to my level for the greens they drop but I'm waiting for a world drop so we can have something for a reference.

First time seeing a requirement of 19 and 20 in separate runs of SFK. Both items were looted from chests and were scaled higher than the greens that were dropping off mobs idk if that's a coincidence or what.
