US Best 101 twink class and spec. Top 5

Ubermensch

Grandfathered
Hello pretty new here. I tried to search the forums for this but the only thing I learned is BM might be op and also how to gear my twink which is helpful! But what I am really looking for to get me started is what class/spec to start. I have 12 100 of each class. I have no preference on which class or spec.

Give me your top 5 or top 1 class and their spec that you think are the strongest for 101 twinking and of course why you think they are! If you would. Its a bit of money to spend so I figured I would ask before I jumped into it.

EDIT: I am looking at doing pvp and namely bgs. For bg achievements and easy wins. etc. So top 5 should be around pvp and how retarded that class is in namely bgs. Thanks!

Runspeed: Havoc Demon Hunter ... Mastery Scaling
Solo old and hard content: All Tanks ... Blood DK seems to be the best at it atm.
Boosting Legion Content: Doesn't really matter as long as you are not a healer / tank.
World PVP: Rogues are dope.
Looking sexy in the city: You have to be a Gnome.
Faming herbs / ores: Druids and Rogues.
Farming a spot: Brewmaster Monk and his Ox.
... and so on.

Oh I forgot. I want to do pvp. Bgs For bg achievements because they are impossible to do at max level. Basically the most nastiest pvp twink class n spec for bgs.

Then you don't want a 101, you want a LvL 19 Disc Priest lmao... Kidding aside (no, not really kidding) you want to go for a 109 instead of 101 as they're superior in iPvP. However, iirc Retadin at 99 (still gives access to all BG's) is probably still top dog for stupidly OP.

iPvP is different in many ways since you're going to want to stick to your class's armor type only for the stat bonus in the BG. That means you have to maximize your ilvl by using a handful of non-boe pieces. For instance, as a plate wearer, I must find shoulders, wrists, and legs since there are no plate boe items from legion. 2 come from HFC, one from a quest reward.

Some people will tell you to go 109 since you can technically get your iPvP ilvl even higher, but then you will completely miss out on your massive stats at 101.

As for classes, warrior, paladin, and mage are my favorite BG choices.

Alright I'll do a disc preist for now lvl 19 :D thanks guys. I think I saw a guide to it not long ago aswell! Then try something else for higher bg achievements etc. What bracket is the most active atm?

This is what I am playing right now. Assassination Rogue for me because I like to win a BG on my own. Fury / Arms Warriors are the strongest in pure damage BUT you can do more things from stealth and I love it.

@DeLindsay already said, you have to be 109. Higher Item-Level, more Artifact Power ...

I don't have any gear at all because my Twink is brand new (artifact traits between ~3-8 at that time) and it already looked like this:

I've played like 30 bg's over the last 2 days and it is so much fun. Can't wait to get my 12th trait aka 1st Golden one and play the bleed spec.

Looks like fun. I might do this at 109. I use to lvl max level of both fractions all classes but i decided not to and went alliance because I love alliance and I couldn't imagine the amount of stress with ap and all the stupid alt unfriendly things this expac. So my 109 will probably be horde. :C All the rest of my twinks below 101-109 bracket will be alliance!

The lower brackets are so annoying, not balanced and just boring. Having 3 buttons and depending on class / spec you either rule or suck. Nah men, don't play that.

What bracket is the most active atm?
101-109. Queue times on Outland-EU @ Alliance are normally ~5minutes. Blizzard increased the XP amount from bgs by a lot and so it will stay that active for now. And most of the people you will meet are no twinks which makes it easier for you to do your achievements. And the biggest thing, always have http://www.wowhead.com/item=132510/gunpowder-charge on your toon.

Fun wise nothing beats a 101 rogue pvping in Bradensbrook <3. (Probably also very nice for battlegrounds)

Edit: If you want to do battleground achievements you should go with a stealth class anyway.

Not naming your rogue Ersguterschurke. What a missed opportunity.

My take on top 3 melee specs for 101-109 ipvp:
1. Arms--A lot of damage and EXECUTE.
2. Fury--Pretty tanky, self heals with bloodthirst and still can do a lot of damage.
3. Blood DK--annoying but viable. NEVER WILL EVER DIE.

My take on top 3 bursty specs for 101-109 ipvp:
1. Arcane--This shouldn't be a surpise. MOA ftw. 20 blinks.
2. Assassination rogue--Toxic blades+vendetta+kingsbane+rogue talent tree procs=gg.
3. Frost--Ebonbolt and flurry procs are no joke. Also, frost slows are great in bgs.

My take on best specs with pets:
1. Affliction--Afflication is by far the best warlock spec in 101-109. I've seen some destro locks, but chaos bolt kicks or stuns just lock down the class easy.
2. Any hunter spec--All three are great in pvp. I've seen all three specs top the damage meters in bgs.
3. Unholy DK--Rarely see unholy, but I've seen some crazy damage from a few.

My take on best hybrid specs:
1. Enhance Shaman--With the recent buffs, maelstorm instant heal system, purge, sheer and bloodlust I think shaman will be the best hybrid spec.
2. Ret paladin--A close second to shaman. Bubble, wings, and LOH are powerful cooldowns.
3. Balance druid--Mobility, mobility, mobility. Moonfire, moonfire, moonfire.

109 is the best for ipvp; however, careful, because, like others have said, at 109 you won't get the massive stats of 101 in terms of wpvp and pve. You also won't be able to solo farm AP through dungeon chest runs. AT 109 your only source of AP is Timewalking, Archaeology, garrison missions, and/or doing chest runs with a 101 twink.

Also, I would recommend try to level to 109 through dungeons and legion assaults if you do try 109 and make sure you get your first class hall upgrade. When you do different quest chains for each zone at 109 you have the chance for quest relic rewards that are 793 blues or 803 epics at level 109, or else you have to get 790 blue relics from dungeons or 810 relics from the AH. Just makes it easier to gear up different artifact weapons without wasting too much time or money.

Good luck.

no massive stats in bg's. best you can hope for is 15% higher stat template or so. after that its up to consumables and it still won't be massively overpowered. i suggest making 2 twinks. one for pve at 101 the other 109 for pvp. world or instanced. 101's just miss too often even vs freshly dinged 110's

I see. I find playing 19 twink will be bad because I can't do all the achievements/bgs But i am hesitant spending a ton of money on a 101-109 twink knowing 101 is good here and 109 is good there.

Putting my vote in for Arcane mage on this one. the legendary chest gives a 15% or so shield on you every time you shimmer, and not to mention temporal shield on top of that, and enough burst to kill a full grown hippo in a blood drunken rage.
I'm telling you bro, I shread. If you setup all your traits correctly, you can 1 pull an instance or burst 1 mil on a boss

I was talking about the massive stats you have outside of BGs.

It's more around 6%. And the thing that makes the difference is the artifact weapon.

Topic is iPvP and arcane isn't good compared to a lot of other specs.

Have you actually played in this bracket? Don't know where this mystery comes from. The best "tank" atm would be an Affliction Warlock in my opinion. Haven't seen a single spec which couldn't be killed in a 1v1.

109 is kinda the same as 99. To perform really good you don't need to invest any money at all. The artifact makes the difference, not the tiny stat increase from item level and the template.

Getting 2 golden Traits can be done quite fast and makes you so much stronger (and you gain some health as a bonus too).

How would feral be at 101? Or sub? Im intrested in those classes :)

I've wondered about sub as well. With the recent buffs it sounds like it'd be pretty damn good at 101

Druids: Almost all druids you see are balance or restoration and a guardian here and there. Feral? No idea why but they don't seem to be existant. Sub got really strong with 7.2.5.
