70-79 Level 70 PvE BiS Gear Compendium

would be fast, 1sec normalized attacks in cat but with the un-avoidable haste on gear will be under that plus a couple of globals I can test tonight. Would say it would be at least 14secs full up time.

The problem is do you clip moonfire, rake and rip if they are already up or bite to early and possibly sacrifice down time on dots or just use on shreds and one bleed....

you get the idea anyway, very RNG for feral rotation.
I think the correct way to play is to never compromise the rotation. Essentially you ignore that you even have the trinket equipped. You don't have to delay cds on pull because it's always going to proc within the first couple of seconds.

yeh agreed, that's why I wonder if a static increase (NLG) would be better?

Given feral is a lot of small damage spread out vs any real big hits to utilize the AP boost window.

Sorry to ramble have not had the chance to play feral much since coming back. From casual observation FB seem to have had a big nerf and was also under the impression bleeds no longer maintain application AP but use current AP for each tic?

i really like how feral plays this expansion, more like what i would assume a "big cat" would do. more sustained damage, less burst. i found that a good 20-25% haste, increases tick time and allows for a higher damage stability build then an all out agility, or crit agil.

is the ilvl 164.00 or some super tight fit?
Wearing generator over sliver is always a 2,8 average ilvl upgrade. So for most people it's going to increase your average by 3, although in some cases only 2.

So sliver vs generator always comes down to the static damage from 2 or 3 average ilvl which is +3,3% or +5% added to your ilvl multiplier (not to be conflated with additional multipliers of 3,3% or 5%) VS the attack power proc.

i was asking about the dk boots question there. blood has a 0 socket boe listed when it could have the 2 socket bt boots like the dps specs and i was curious why

Oh I see. Well, wowhead appears to be down at the moment so I can't even check the specifics.

Tank specs value Ilvl more highly because, well, they take a lot of damage and reducing damage taken by a flat % is really good. In this case DKs sit at just over 163 avg if I recall correctly.

@Chey Wish I could help you here but I don't have simcraft set up myself. I used to run sims in the cloud using a website. @Fx can probably answer your questions though.

I know armor is valuable for tanks but I don't play one and haven't done enough research to know how it weighs against str/agi or versatility. Str/agi are very similar to stamina for tanks in that it only makes sense to build it up to a very specific point. For stamina that point is when you reach a healthpool big enough so you can't realistically die in one global. For str/agi it's when you do enough damage to maintain aggro on a frost mage opener.
@Fx and @Shinela play tanks. Perhaps they can give some insight.

Simcraft for tanks is a maxlvl thing only, don't use it for lvl70.

I mean -technically- you would use the armour over a dps stat, but the amount of damage reduction you get is super irrelevant especially considering you already have ilvl which functions like a second armour stat. On top of that, like Onlydreams mentioned, you need enough damage to not lose aggro to frost mage openers, and enchants are a decent way to get some extra damage.

also for blood dk : a small nit pick

vs ice encrusted
more ilvl, more str, stam and secondary, and it comes in champion soldier and squire, though its hard to get.
Added, definitely BiS if you roll Champion.

Being a tank, armour is a good value to have but irrelevant for constant buffs.
It's very nice, but the damage reduction is irrelevant on many encounters, this is because our armour values are a lot less than what they used to be and a lot of enemies have "Reduce Armour" abilities, effectively negating all of your armour enchants.

You're better off running stamina up to a 40k-ish. This will survive you a critical hit, critical saber lash and another critical hit from Mother Shahraz (provided you are full HP with enough versatility).
Run the rest in versatility; flat damage reduction that can't be denied is awesome unless you wish to really run for damage in which case strength would help. This still gives a bit of parry as well but gives you less defence.

Interesting stuff. Got some duplicate gear so tried the http://www.wowhead.com/item=15564/rugged-armor-kit on 4 pieces and as guardian gave me close to 1% additional 'physical' damage reduction. (increased from 38% to 39%)

Will do some comparisons and testing but yeh initial thoughts are not the best option.

Edit: Ah just did some quick calculations and replacing only 3 of them with the versatility enchants gives you the same damage reduction plus the damage increase... didn't bother after that.

Will leave the post for reference.

FWIW, Frost Lord Ahune will be available by LvL 60+ starting with 7.2.5. While I doubt the Scythe would be BiS for any Class (scales to iLvL 147), it does give another option. Ofc, we'll have to wait until Midsummer's (June 21-July 5) to have the chance anyway.

Also, BT TW will scale you to 147 iLvL. I'm not certain yet if LvL 70's will be capable of participation as all other TW is +1 LvL over that Event but it's entirely possible that certain slots may get additional items that have scaled slightly higher in iLvL than standard BT. That is ofc, is BT TW follows all other TW for drops, where it gives the iLvL base for your Character Level or +10 iLvL as Timewarped. Since most items in BT are 141 iLvL and the Event scales the Characters to 147, it might be possible to get 151 iLvL of original BT drops (161 Timewarped for Illidan). We'll find out Tuesday.

EDIT: I checked Illidan's drops and the 'Scales with Level' shows them as 147 but it doesn't show whether they'll Timewarp or not. If they do, then Illidan will have the chance at dropping 157 iLvL, a touch over what he drops now.

for ww monk, i see a 155 belt and deadly cuffs, would you not gain more by switching that for the 154 pvp bracers and don alejandro 's belt?

winterfrost girdle ilvl 155, 17agil (27 total),26stam, 13 haste, 13 crit, 1 socket & deadly cuffs ilvl 141, 14 agil,16 stam,13 crit, 6 haste
total agil : 51 agil, 42 stam, 26 crit, 19 haste
vs
belt of one hundred deaths ilvl 138, 18agil (+3, 51 total) , 25stam, 12 crit & pvp bracers ilvl 154, 12 agil,19stam, 6 crit or
10 agil, 22 stam, 10 crit, 5 vers (not sure which of these is better)
total 1 73 agil, 44 stam, 18 crit
total 2 71 agil, 47stam, 22 crit, 5 vers
if all else is following the bis guide, you dont lose any ilvls for the belt of 100 deaths and pvp bracers setup.
also, if youre paranoid, don alejandro's belt is an exact match in terms of not losing any tenths of an ilvl, and still offers better stats.

also if im wrong about the secondaries on winterfrost leather girdle please let me know, i have never had one, and wowhead isnt listing any variations for me.

edit: http://www.wowhead.com/item=35152/guardians-dragonhide-belt
this belt is better than winterfrost for brewmaster, unless winterfrost comes in a specific nich tank flavor. but also i still think the above setup is better due to more total sockets while keeping a high ilvl
