US Calling all 80-89s!

Hey guys, returning vanilla player here with multiple twinks through the years namely 70s 60s and 19s. Started to level a new 60 when I ran into an icc/cata geared 80 warr and after a little research I'm really interested in twinking at 80. I also have 2 friends leveling 80s with me as well as another buddy with an (old) bis 80 with cata gear.
Looking for any and all experienced players to play with, I have a lot of RBG/BG time under my belt, both on twinks and max levels.
Also wondering if someone can tell me some solid info on gear; I read that templates are at 443 in ipvp, so my main question I have for the 80 community is, will I be at a disadvantage staying at 80 vs 89? What do most players in the bracket do? And at 89 what is the avg ilvl they can get? Do a lot of ppl have legion event gear making 89s rule the bracket? Thanks a lot look forward to owning shit with you guys.

Ah makes me sad panda no replies but 70 views. We are 80 now mostly icc heroic/rs/cata/mop pieces with a few bis each already or at least weps and ilvl wise to be 443 in pvp or whatever the template ilvl is. Seriously add me ppl don't be shy let's carry some games I have a lot of exp tcing and leading and we always have a good time.
